A preparatory meeting for the 9th North East Mini Jamboree for Scouts & Guides was held on 22nd September 2026 under the chairmanship of Shri Tinku Roy, Hon’ble Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Tripura.

The mega event, being hosted for the first time in Tripura, is scheduled to be held from 1st to 5th December 2026 at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel Complex, Agartala.

The meeting discussed various arrangements and key issues to ensure the successful, smooth and memorable conduct of the event.

The meeting was attended by Smt. Swapna Das Paul, Hon’ble MLA and Vice-President, Tripura State Bharat Scouts & Guides (TSBSG), Shri Tapas Ray, IAS, Secretary, Youth Affairs & Sports Department, Shri L. Darlong, Director,YAS and Senior officers of DYAS; and officials of TSBSG.

Difference between NCC and SCOUT

On 12-09-2026, The State Secretary of Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Shri Ramendra Reang, and the Assistant State Secretary & State Organising Commissioner (Scout), Shri Mridul Majumder,TSBSG, visited several schools in Unakoti District.

During the visit, they reviewed the activities of the Scouts and Guides units, the progress of My Bharat registration and training activities. They interacted with Headmasters, Unit Leaders and Rovers-Rangers and provided guidance to further strengthen the Scout movement in the district. Their presence created great enthusiasm among the teachers and students.

The Rovers and Rangers volunteers from different districts under the District Scouts & Guides Association of Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guides, participating in the ongoing Rajya Puraskar Selection Camp at Padmapur H.S. School, Dharmanagar are coming together to collect financial support from well-wishers, members, fellow volunteers, and other willing supporters for the victims of the devastating flash floods in Nepal.

Through this initiative, the volunteers are demonstrating their commitment to the ideals of service to others, compassion, and solidarity with people affected by natural disasters.

Every contribution, big or small, is valuable and helps extend a helping hand to those in need.

⚜️ Opening Ceremony of State Level Rajya Puraskar Selection Camp 2026 ⚜️

The State Level Rajya Puraskar Selection Camp 2026 for Rovers & Rangers was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Padmapur H.S. (+2) School, Dharmanagar.

The camp is being organised by the North District Bharat Scouts & Guides, bringing together Rovers and Rangers for skill development, assessment, leadership activities and fellowship as part of their journey towards the prestigious Rajya Puraskar.

The opening ceremony was inaugurated by the Sabhadhipati, North Tripura District, along with the Chairperson, Dharmanagar Municipal Council, whose presence encouraged and inspired the participating Rovers and Rangers.

The ceremony reflected the true spirit of Scouting and Guiding—discipline, service, leadership, teamwork and dedication.

A Fruitful Step Towards Strengthening Scouting and Guiding in Higher Education

On 3rd September 2026, the State Secretary and State Membership Growth Coordinator, Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guides, met with Shri Animesh Debbarma, Director, Higher Education, Government of Tripura, to discuss the establishment of Rover Crews and Ranger Teams in colleges across Tripura.

The Director of Higher Education assured the officials of his full support and cooperation towards this initiative.

This is a positive step towards promoting the spirit of Scouting and Guiding, leadership, service, and responsible citizenship among college students, while creating new opportunities for establishing Scouting and Guiding units in colleges across the state.

Together, let us build a stronger Scout and Guide Movement in higher education.
