On the eve of Christmas, (19th December, 2025), The Period Society: Tripura Chapter, organised a Donation Drive at the Vidya Welfare Society, () a school and an NGO working towards betterment of the specially abled children.

The drive was truly special, bringing joy and cheer as we met the children and witnessed their incredible artworks and amazing talents, thus capturing the spirit of Christmas!

The Period Society Tripura was invited to a Gender Workshop organised by the Departments of English and Human Physiology at Swami Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Tripura on 15th December, 2025.

The workshop of TPST began with an interactive session with the students about their experiences with periods or taboos related to menstruation.

Following this, a discussion was initiated on the physiology of menstruation, the female reproductive system, and do's and don'ts during periods.

The concluding session included a series of mythbusters, where the stigmas and taboos surrounding periods were smashed through fun discussions one step at a time.

The students were interactive, the session was fun and we as TPST are elated to have received such a wonderful welcome and acceptance.

Yes, we did "Break The Taboo" and moved one step closer to "Bleeding with Dignity".

The Period Society Tripura, was a workshop collaborative partner during a 'Two -Day Workshop on 'Empowering Women as Leaders, Changemakers and Equal Participants in Society and undertook a 'Menstruation Awareness and Interactive Drive' for same. It was organised by the Department of History in collaboration with IQAC and R & D Cell, Sri Aurobindo General Degree College funded by Gender Inclusion and Equity Initiatives (GIEI), PM - USHA, Department of Higher Education, Government of Tripura, on 28th -29th November, 2025.
It was truly fulfilling to engage with young minds and play a part in breaking down menstrual stigma.

As part of our initiative, Ajker Durga 2.0, we The Period Society Tripura Chapter, completed donation of menstrual hygiene products, at the Ama Ni Khuri Shakti Sadan, a home for young girls and women, run by the Tripura Adibashi Mahila Samiti on 27/09/2025
We are immensely grateful to our donors who have come forward and helped us.
We at TPST, are eagerly looking forward to completing the next phases of our donation and educational drives in the upcoming months.

Greeting All,
The Period Society Tripura Chapter is back with Project Ajker Durga- an umbrella initiative aimed at trying to bring about an end to the socially constructed irrational taboos surrounding menstruation all the while lending an end to eradicating period poverty. This project will entail pad donation drives, awareness sessions, education drives on menstrual health and hygiene at orphanages, women homes and shelter houses.
This Durga Pujo, we once again request you to come forward and help us break the shackles of silly taboos and misinformation related to periods. Do come forward and share a portion of your pujo savings and take part in ending period poverty.

This Women’s Day, we joined hands with Sanjeevani Social Organisation at Maheshkhala Health Centre for a sanitary pad donation drive & awareness session. 🌸

📍ℂ𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕟, 𝕤𝕒𝕗𝕖, 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕕𝕚𝕘𝕟𝕚𝕗𝕚𝕖𝕕 – 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙮𝙜𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚.

🔴 Yesterday on 8th March, 2025, On the occasion of 𝕀𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕟𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝 𝕎𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕟'𝕤 𝔻𝕒𝕪, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙙 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮, 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙖 & 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙟𝙚𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙞 (NGO) has jointly conducted a special awareness program on "𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐇𝐘𝐆𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐄" at Maheshkhala Anganwadi Kendra. In the presence of Health Care providers, special discussions were held on the said topics and Teenage girls and Adult Women were made aware of what should and shouldn't be done during periods. We also have distributed 200+ Sanitary Pads among the attendees.
