The word “Dar” in Arabic literally means home. Accordingly, Darna means “Our Home.” Home is the place where you feel loved where you can be safe and where you can express yourself without being judged. It is a place where family and relationships grow and deepen, and it is the place that connects you with who you are. Darna aims to provide such a safe haven for the Arab community and residents of
Tira and the surrounding who seek a place to talk, dream, express, reflect, engage, learn and explore. Darna provides a place to mend existing connections and build bridges to new ones. It is a place where someone can chart their own journey, help others identify their calling and path and make a difference within their community, eventually having an impact on the world one step at a time.
دارنا هي منظمة مستقلة تعمل على خلق تغير حقيقي ودائم في المجتمع. رجال ونساء, شباب وشيوخ, مجتمعون لوضع بلدنا الحبيب في حالة اصلاح, ولخلع الجذور المريضة التي تضر مجتمعنا العريق. نحن مجتمعين ومتحدين من اجل ان نهزم وحش الجهل وان نحول ضعف التفرقة الى قوة الوحدة.نريد ان نصنع ذلك من خلال توفير اطار و بيت دافئ للشباب الذي يدفع به الى اعمال الشغب,وايضا من خلال دعم التعليم وعقد حلقات توعية.بالاضافة ان التزمنا قوي من اجل تعليم مبادئ الديموقراطية وحقوق الانسان. نحن نسير بخطى قوية وثابته لانقاذ شعب ثقافة ومستقبل.
