NATAN's team visited the area of Beer Sheva and the home of Miyada and Mohammad Abu Kuwider in Al-Zarnouq, hosted by המועצה האזורית לכפרים הלא מוכרים בנגב المجلس للقرى مسلوبة الاعتراف🌸

The visit was part of NIFLA (נפל"א) — a joint project with ALYN Hospital. Through NIFLA, we provide children with disabilities who lack access to services with adaptive equipment and professional guidance, so they can do everyday things independently — shower, eat, get dressed.

At first, it was just a small storage room.

Today, it is one of the busiest gathering places in Moshav Sde Nitzan, a community in Israel’s western Negev that returned home after six months of evacuation following October 7.

When residents came back, community life was difficult to restart. Many people stayed home. Neighbors saw each other less. The connections that help communities thrive had weakened.

Together with local leaders and volunteers, NATAN and Operation Blessing helped support the creation of a Community Healing Hub centered around a community pub built by residents themselves.

Volunteers painted walls, built a deck, repaired infrastructure, and transformed an unused structure into a place where children, parents, grandparents, and soldiers can gather throughout the week.

Today, it has become a living room for the community.

Sometimes resilience begins with something as simple as creating a place to be together.

NATAN Worldwide Disaster Relief and Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, Inc. have partnered to support the Sde Nitzan Community Healing Hub. Through this partnership, Operation Blessing is providing one year of funding for hub infrastructure and internal psychological activities, ensuring communities overlooked by official aid channels receive crucial, ongoing support.

Most of what you see in these photos are boxes.

Boxes loaded into a container in India. Boxes moving by sea and land on their way to Gaza.

Inside them are thousands of washable menstrual pads and lice combs, destined for women and girls living in temporary shelters and tent camps.

These are everyday items. Easy to overlook. But in a humanitarian crisis, access to basic hygiene can mean privacy, independence, and a sense of dignity.

NATAN’s Dignity Kits project is helping provide thousands of women and girls in Gaza with practical, long-term hygiene solutions designed to support daily life under extremely challenging conditions.

Sometimes the longest journeys are made by the simplest things.

Gal Yoffe joined NATAN in 2016 and has led several humanitarian missions, including our Syrian refugee aid operation in Serbia. Last month he completed a full ski crossing of Greenland — 570 km, 28 days, 110kg sled — after being injured in the Iron Swords War.

India has long been a destination for Israeli soldiers after their service. But for those returning from combat with deep psychological wounds, it’s become something more.

NATAN Worldwide Disaster Relief, alongside המקום - מרחבי סיוע רגשי למטיילים בהודו, has been providing mental health support to Israelis in distress abroad — meeting them where they are, in places like Dharamkot in northern India.

From Ofakim to New York. 🌍✨

At Focal Point 2026, NATAN CEO Alice Miller shared a very special children's book with OLAM CEO Dyonna Ginsburg 📖❤️

This book was born out of our project in Ofakim, supporting the emotional healing and resilience of local children following October 7. Seeing this story travel all the way to New York is a beautiful reminder that local voices have no borders, and that the most meaningful connections between organizations always begin with the communities at the heart of the work.

Following October 7, NATAN partnered with “HaMakom”, an initiative operating emotional support centers across India for Israelis going through difficult periods.

The centers support released soldiers, reservists, Nova survivors, and travelers looking for a place to pause, process, and receive emotional support in Hebrew while far from home.

Sometimes meaningful support begins with conversation, familiarity, and community.

A meaningful meeting recently took place between NATAN and leaders of the Druze community in Israel, focused on expanding access to rehabilitation care for Druze children with disabilities in Syria.

Through NATAN’s NIFLA program, developed in partnership with ALYN Hospital Pediatric & Adolescent Rehabilitation Center PELE Center, children living in war-affected Syrian communities are receiving personalized rehabilitation solution following remote assessments and guidance from professional teams.

Together with Druze religious and community leaders, efforts are now underway to reach additional children and strengthen this cross border humanitarian collaboration.
