Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund

Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund The Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund (ZDVF) - Beit Halochem In keeping with that philosophy,
Beit Halochem offers a variety of activities to
occupy the family.

Beit Halochem Centers in Israel are unique
rehabilitation, sports and recreation centers
which look after Zahal Disabled Veterans and
their families. Beit Halochem applies the philosophy that the
disabled should be cared for in an environment
that is both congenial to them and to those
around them. A very important feature at Beit
Halochem is the meeting of โ€œgenerationsโ€ of
disabled, bringing toge

ther old-timers with
newcomers who must learn to adjust to the
difficult and complex world of disability. Sports programs contribute to successful
rehabilitation by maintaining the membersโ€™
physical fitness and preventing deterioration of
their health. Each center also offers a diverse
choice of arts & crafts workshops as well as
social and recreational activities.

Celebrating Excellence. Honoring Outstanding Athletes. ๐Ÿ†

We held our annual Sports Scholarship Ceremony at Beit Halochem Tel Aviv, celebrating the dedication and achievements of our outstanding athletes and coaches.

This year, we awarded 89 sports scholarships, totaling NIS 525,500, to athletes and coaches from Beit Halochem centers across Israel, thanks to the generosity of our private donors, foundations, and Friends organizations.

This yearโ€™s ceremony reflected the continued growth of the Beit Halochem sports community, with many veterans wounded during the Swords of Iron War already embracing sport as a meaningful part of their rehabilitation journey, alongside athletes who have been inspiring us for years.

Congratulations to all of this yearโ€™s scholarship recipients. Your dedication and perseverance continue to inspire us all. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค

Dror Kendelshein was severely wounded during the โ€˜Second Lebanonโ€™ War.
Despite the long and difficult rehabilitation journey, he chooses life every single day - never giving up on himself for a moment.

Back in 2018, when construction of Beit Halochem Ashdod first began, Dror stood with us on the site.
Today, he returned to visit as the center nears its final stages of construction, deeply moved knowing it will soon become a second home for him and his family.
