An Israel-registered charity, we support the children in families living with cancer or coping with a cancer loss. What we do:
Jeremy's Circle shows the children that they are not alone, and helps them connect with other kids like them in several ways.
- Virtual family-fun but covid-safe activities including art and cooking workshops and sporty challenges. See our latest activities at http://jer
emyscircle.org/news/
- Wide range of family fun-days and teen-only events during school holidays throughout the country such as laser-tag, museums, zoos, bike tours, and much more. (We look forward to getting back to in-person events as soon as it is safe!)
How we got started
Jeremy's Circle was conceived by Jeremy Coleman, his sisters Juliette and Naomi, and his wife Pamela Becker, who saw firsthand the importance and impact of supporting the children in families coping with cancer. Jeremy had three children aged 6 months to 6 years when he was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer in May 2007. The organisation was inspired by the friends and family that embraced Jeremy's kids – taking them out for hikes, sleepovers, movies and barbeques – when he was in treatment. Another inspiration was Jeremy's oldest child who told her parents that she wanted a play-date with another girl her age who had a daddy with cancer. Since no organisation existed at the time that provided services for the children in families with cancer, it took several months until they found an appropriate play-date. Both young girls benefited tremendously from the experience of meeting someone else in a similar situation.
