During a targeted night enforcement activity held in Tel Aviv, 47 foreigners were detained that were in Israel illegally.
The operation, which is intended to locate illegal immigrants and enforce immigration laws, was carried out under the leadership of the Tel Aviv area of the Foreign and Enforcement Administration, and in collaboration with the areas of the south, north and central, the South Tel Aviv police, the police department and the Tel Aviv municipality's SLA unit.
All the refugees were moved to further treatment in Tel Aviv and the center for a hearing and examination of their affairs.
Later, the detainees will be moved to the Givon prison facility in order to promote the procedures of their distancing themselves from Israel.
The Population and Immigration Authority will continue to act decisively and consistently to locate illegal aliens and enforce immigration laws, in order to preserve the rule of law and public order.
