Mothers Make a Difference

Mothers Make a Difference is a group of volunteer mums who have come together to provide essential aid to Israel's mothers and children in need.

Mothers Make a Difference was originally founded after seeing first hand the daily struggles facing underprivileged mothers and their children living in Tel Aviv. We have since grown and expanded our reach in several areas throughout the country. The sight of a mother carrying her baby across the road using a makeshift factory bag as a baby carrier is a vision that breaks any privileged mother’s heart and it was with this glimpse into reality that the alarm was raised that we, as mothers, have to come together to help make a difference. Our initial goal is to receive donations to help provide the necessary care for babies and children living below Israel's poverty line. Mothers Make a Difference primarily acts as an umbrella organization, redistributing donations of new and used baby equipment and supplies. Cash donations are distributed immediately to our partner organizations, or put into a small emergency assistance fund to purchase supplies for families in urgent need. Some of the organizations we work with and/or support via donations or otherwise include:
MESILA
Unitaf
Terem public health clinic - Tel Aviv
Multipurpose day care center - Petach Tikvah
WIZO - Beit Forge
Shalva
Forgotten People's Fund
Pitchon Lev
The Blind Center (Tel Aviv)
Aid Organization for Refugees - Assaf
Elifelet
Hefsibah Ethiopian Community Center - Netanya
Kiryat HaYeled
The Zion Orphanage - Jerusalem
Bat Melech

So please, if you are able to help, don’t waste time and donate today. Remember every small donation makes a BIG difference!!! For the full list of drop-off points around the country, see below and contact us for contact numbers -

Giv’at Shmuel and Kfar Saba, THANK YOU. 🙏 In amongst the back to school craziness, donors came together to get carloads of strollers, cribs, school bags, safe heaters, toys and more to Mesila. 🎉 Also, a big happy birthday to a special three year old all the way in NYC, Liam, who donated formula and diapers to families in TLV who are in dire need in lieu of gifts 🎉🎉🎉
Wishing everyone the best of luck as we embrace another school year. May it be a year complete with routine, peace, health, happiness and donations for those less fortunate 🙏💪🙏

The past three years have been difficult for all of us. Amid this ongoing crisis, there is one community that is too often overlooked. Refugees and asylum seekers are left to cope on their own with an unimaginable reality and a crisis that only deepens their vulnerability. For thousands of people, *ASSAF is the only place to turn in times of crisis*.

Unfortunately, ASSAF is facing a crisis as well. They have already been forced to close programs, reduce staff, and scale back essential services. They are doing everything they can to overcome this challenge and continue providing assistance, support, and protection to thousands of people who have no other safety net.

*Only with your help can ASSAF continue their essential work and ensure that no one is left alone to face poverty, exclusion, and despair.*

💙 Every donation will be matched and will go directly to their programs.

📢 Donate. Share. Help make Israel a better place for everyone. 🩷🙏🩷
