Mothers Make a Difference is a group of volunteer mums who have come together to provide essential aid to Israel's mothers and children in need.

Mothers Make a Difference was originally founded after seeing first hand the daily struggles facing underprivileged mothers and their children living in Tel Aviv. We have since grown and expanded our reach in several areas throughout the country. The sight of a mother carrying her baby across the road using a makeshift factory bag as a baby carrier is a vision that breaks any privileged mother’s h

eart and it was with this glimpse into reality that the alarm was raised that we, as mothers, have to come together to help make a difference. Our initial goal is to receive donations to help provide the necessary care for babies and children living below Israel's poverty line. Mothers Make a Difference primarily acts as an umbrella organization, redistributing donations of new and used baby equipment and supplies. Cash donations are distributed immediately to our partner organizations, or put into a small emergency assistance fund to purchase supplies for families in urgent need. Thanks to our community, ארגון סיוע לפליטים - א.ס.ף ASSAF Aid Agency received hundreds of diapers and dozens of tins of formula, helping so many families in dire need. Families who are barely surviving on little or no income, survivors of human trafficking, single mothers and
more.
‘36 families received help thanks to your amazing donors, that’s more than we've ever been able to help in the past at one time. It helped so much, as parents are facing the financial consequences of not working during the war. Thank you so so much💗’, wrote Mai at ASSAF.
Sadly, all our partners need help with these essential items and Mesila also urgently needs strollers, a crib for a newborn, laptops and a tv for a child with autism. War or no war, our team thrives to deliver much needed donations in time for Chag. A special thank you goes to our favourite TLV eatery Cafe XoHo for collecting & arranging urgent delivery of sought after donations to Mesila. Incredible and generous donors donated via this hotspot; diapers, formula, baby clothes and more. Whilst in Givatayim, our very own Naomi Rabbie dodged missiles to get a newborn stroller also to Mesila. A huge thank you goes to all our incredible donors for making Pesach miracles happen, even during these extremely challenging times. We’d be lost without you all!!!

Glimmers of light in a dark situation for a 100 families supported by ארגון סיוע לפליטים - א.ס.ף, all thanks to your extremely generous Paybox donations, which provided formula to accompany food basket distributions last week. Sadly, the need for diapers and formula is beyond dire right now, with a lot of parents (like us) struggling to work and mothers, especially single mothers, unable to provide life’s mere essentials for their children. Like the stress of war isn’t enough! 🥲🥲🥲
It’s beyond devastating and we are desperately calling for help, as our Paybox nears empty. Tel Aviv & Rehovot came to Mesila’s rescue, after we received urgent calls for suitcases for a family receiving asylum in Canada and laptops for children with special needs. Special thanks go to our very own, Tamar in Ness Ziona and Naomi in Ramat Aviv, for pulling out all the stops and arranging these donations and deliveries. Tamar also pulled in boxes of brand new T-shirts and onesies. Keep tuned over the next few days, as we’ll be posting other fantastic donation deliveries to our other partners. 🩷💓🩷

Donors in North Tel Aviv, thank you! Winter jackets, shoes & toys were delivered to Mesila just in time for today’s cooler weather. Sadly, we have some new needs; a tv for a family of five children (one suffering from autism), baby carriers, strollers (especially newborn), single beds with delivery to south tlv! Ramat Gan and Givatayim, thank you for bringing so much joy to Mesila’s reception last week. A double stroller, diapers, a play mat and brand new clothes was delivered by our latest Givitayim drop off, Naomi. Special thanks goes to Sarah Reinman for the stroller and Kasia Ciesla-Seifer for everything else.
