Bring Them Light

Bring Them Light October 7th Remembrance, To Bring Light to those who lost theirs

Letter N

What does it mean to remember?

It means we choose memory - not once a year, but every single day.

We carry names in our hearts.
We whisper stories when the world goes quiet.
We hold onto light, even when the night feels endless.

Being Jewish has never been only about survival.
It has always been about remembrance.
About holding every soul close, even when the world moves on.
About carrying each life forward, so none are ever truly lost.

They ask me:
“What do you want from this project?”
And I answer:
“That they are not forgotten.”

Because remembering is how we fight against silence.
It’s how we say:
“ You lived. You mattered. You still do. “

Remembrance is not a ceremony.
It’s not a hashtag or a headline.
It is an act of love.

A quiet promise we make with every breath:
We see you.
We carry you.
We will not let you fade.

This is what binds us - not only blood, not only land.
But the sacred thread of memory, woven from soul to soul, across generations.

So today - and every day - we say:
Your light still shines.
Your story still speaks.
You are part of us - forever.

In this series of Alphabetical order, here is “ N “, a glimpse into who they were, the light they carried within and radiated outwards.

Please go and watch their individual life stories so that we carry for generations to come.

These are only the names of the innocent souls whose story we have told to date, however, it will change as we create more and more stories to come.

I am thinking about the names given to wars.
How long do people think about them?

“ Swords of Iron “.
“ Total Victory “.
And now - “ Operation Lion’s Roar “.

And on television there are El Al advertisements about rescuing our people.
About how we are a nation of heroes.
A strong nation.

And I do not dismiss that for a moment.

I am a psychologist.
I work every day with soldiers who carry, in their bodies and in their souls, the price of this war.
I see the bravery up close - and the price of it.

But within all this discourse about strength and resilience,
there is almost no space to speak about vulnerability.

About difficulty.
About exhaustion.
About bereaved families.

And when there is no space to speak about vulnerability -
people begin to distance themselves from their own humanity.

On International Women’s Day -
we remember these women.
And we promise their light will never fade
