CultivAID is a social enterprise that provides technical trainings, knowledge sharing and infrastructure support in the fields of agriculture and water. CultivAID has developed a model farm known as Agricultural Innovation and Technology center (AITEC). The Farm serves as an R&D center and provides trainings to farmers, students and agronomists.

🌱 One cohort graduates. Another begins.

Today marks two important milestones for CultivAid’s six-month agricultural internship program: our latest cohort in Dodoma, Tanzania, graduated from the program, while in Embu, Kenya, a new group of interns is beginning their journey.

Our internship program is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and professional agricultural work. Interns are integrated into the daily activities of our Agricultural Innovation and Technology Centers (AITECs), where they gain practical experience alongside our professional teams and are exposed to modern agricultural practices, technologies, field operations, training activities and real agricultural development projects.

The AITEC model itself combines research, demonstration, training, production and market engagement, creating an environment where young professionals can learn by working directly within an active agricultural center.

For us, the program is also about investing in the next generation of agricultural professionals. Exceptional graduates may have the opportunity to continue their journey with CultivAid as members of our team.

Congratulations to our graduates in Dodoma, and welcome to our new interns in Embu. 🎓🌱

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting Growing Together – A Showcase of Climate-Smart Agriculture at Mt. Carmel Convent Farm, bringing together leaders and partners committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and food security in Kenya.

The Mt. Carmel Convent Farm is an extension of the Agricultural Innovation and Technology Center (AITEC), serving as a demonstration and learning site for climate-smart agriculture. The farm is powered by Water 4 Mercy and supported by CultivAid, showcasing practical, scalable agricultural solutions that strengthen resilience and improve livelihoods.

We were honored to welcome H.E. Ambassador Gideon Behar, His Grace Archbishop Philip Anyolo, Mrs. Mercy Wanjau, EGH, Secretary to the Cabinet, Republic of Kenya, Nermine Khouzam Rubin, MBA MHS , CEO & Founder of Water 4 Mercy, the Sisters of Carmelites, directors from organizations and universities, and many other distinguished guests.

The event featured practical demonstrations of climate-smart agriculture technologies and farming practices, fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among partners working to build more resilient and productive agricultural systems.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making this event a success. Together, we continue to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge, and grow a more sustainable and resilient agricultural future.
