ECHO’s objective is to change international discourse regarding Israel by highlighting the distinctive colors, energy and sounds that make Israel so special. In order to achieve this goal and connect with young people worldwide, we wish to use the powerful, transcendent language of music. Electronic dance music, in particular, is currently one of the most popular music genres around the world, enj
oying a vast fan base. We will bring 10 influential members of the electronic music industry and media from around the world to tour Israel for four days and introduce them to the country's diverse culture, rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and electrifying night-life. During their journey, the participants will explore Israel's eclectic, vibrant music scene through our traditional and modern musicians as well as members of the local music industry who will highlight the wide array of music styles Israel has to offer, including Arabic, Ethiopian, Hassidic, Mizrahi, and modern Israeli. The climax of the journey will be an epic music showcase in which the international DJs and Israeli artists will perform on one stage, side by side.
