On Thursday, our soon-to-be Shlichim gathered for an unforgettable preparation seminar before heading out to Brazil, South Africa, Canada, and Germany! ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช

We started this meaningful day at the Hof HaCarmel Regional Council, followed by an inspiring visit to the Hannah Senesh Museum in Sdot Yam. Throughout the day, we held deep, powerful conversations about leadership, the essence of Shlichut, and the impactful roles these young leaders are about to take on.

It was an emotional and significant day of preparation, reminding us all of the strength of our movement.

Wishing our future Shlichim the best of luck!

We are thrilled to announce that Ariel Tomaspolski will assume the role of World Mazkir of Habonim Dror in May 2026.

Ariel, a Brazilian-Israeli social manager and entrepreneur, brings over 20 years of extensive experience in leadership development, community strengthening, and nonprofit management. His journey in Habonim Dror began at the age of nine as a chanich in Brazil, where he grew through various leadership roles.

In 2003, he participated in Shnat Hachshara, an experience he describes as the most meaningful of his life, which deepened his lifelong commitment to the movement's core values of Zionism, Hagshama, Democracy, and Tikkun Olam.

Following his Shnat year, Ariel held key positions including Mazkir of the Sรฃo Paulo Ken and member of the national Hanaga of Habonim Dror Brazil. After making Aliyah in 2019, he continued his mission by directing the Maslool Program at Netaim.

We are confident that Arielโ€™s leadership, professional expertise, and deep passion for the Tnua will lead us to new heights and remarkable achievements.

We wish you great success in your new role, Ariel!

On this Yom HaZikaron 2026, our Shnatties from Brazil, Australia, the United States, and Canada took an active part in commemorating those who fell. The Shnatties were at different cemeteries, including Mt. Herzl, Tel Aviv, and Revivim, supporting bereaved families while strengthening their own connection to Israel.

A very special moment took place in Jerusalem during a meeting with Asher Baruch, an active member of Habonim Dror Netherlands. He shared the story of his sister, Rebecca Baruch z"l, one of the fallen soldiers we remember today.

It reminds us to keep the memories of the fallen alive and to continue strengthening the bond between our Kenim around the world and Israel.

Our Shnatties from Australia arrived in Israel during a challenging time, but if thereโ€™s one thing theyโ€™ve taught us this Purim - itโ€™s that nothing can dim their energy.

They arrived full of courage, creativity, and the unwavering belief that we can make this world a better place. This is what Zionism looks like. This is what hope looks like. This is a Purim full of light.

We are so proud to have you here with us! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

We rejoice in seeing our live hostages return home, among them Eitan Horn, a boger of Habonim Dror Argentina.
At the same time, we weep and mourn for all the lives lost on and after October 7th, 2023, whose memory accompanies us on this emotional day.

It is deeply moving to see our olim and shnatties here to witness this historic moment.
We continue to wait and hope for the return of all the deceased hostages, so that their families may find closure and peace.

We want to thank all our Habonim Dror communities and snifim around the world, who stood up to the challenge and reminded us of the power of strong relationships between Israel and the Diaspora.

Let us hope that the return of the hostages will mark the beginning of rebuilding our country, our spirit, and of a sense of safety for our communities everywhere.

While today is full of complexity and emotion, for the first time in two years we can finally say, with hope for the future:
Chag Sameach!
