Those close to an alcoholic or addict are deeply affected by the disease of alcoholism or other addiction – emotionally, spiritually, and physically. We believe addiction is a family disease and have found that changed attitudes can aid recovery. Our English-speaking group in the Sharon area has been meeting for over 25 years. All members of our group have been affected by this family disease. In
our meetings, we find love, understanding and hope. Each of us has experienced, in varying degrees, the hurt, the anger and the anxiety that go hand in hand in a relationship with an addict. We come to Al-Anon because it works. It works because it is a positive self-help program that is grounded in the common experiences of its members – people whose lives have been affected by someone else's addictive behavior. We share our own experiences and get help. Al-Anon works because it is a simple program. It is not affiliated with any sect, denomination, political entity, organization, or institution, does not engage in any controversy, and does not endorse or oppose any cause. There are NO DUES for membership. Personal anonymity, as well as confidentiality of members sharing in our program, creates a safe place to get help. Meetings take place on Tuesday evenings, Pardes Meshutaf 94, Ra`anana, Israel. For details or any other questions, please call Linda (054-4412147) or Carmen (052-5903951).
