Three years later, October 7 remains a date we remember, while its impact continues to affect lives across Israel.

It has affected reservists who spent months away from their families, careers and businesses, as well as small business owners whose livelihoods changed overnight.

Some are reopening businesses they had to pause. Others are starting again. Many are still finding their way forward.

We remember those we lost and stand with everyone still carrying the impact of that day.

We also recognize the people continuing to work, serve, care for their families, and rebuild their livelihoods despite everything that has changed.

Yehouda is opening a clinic to help people stop smoking. Rafael builds websites and marketing campaigns. Raanan designs gardens and outdoor spaces.

They work in very different fields, but they share something important. Like many reservists who own small businesses, they put their work and plans on hold while serving their country.

Now, each is working towards a clear business goal.

For Lior, October 7 changed everything.

Upon returning from a trip, Lior immediately reported for reserve duty in southern Israel. What followed was nearly a year of military service.

During a break from reserve duty, an idea began to take shape. Lior wanted to create a traditional food business that captured the feeling of home.

Turning that idea into reality was his biggest challenge. A SparkIL interest-free loan helped Lior take the next steps and begin building something new.

As August comes to an end and September begins, back-to-school season is in full swing.
