ALMA is an apolitical non-profit association established in March 2010 with the prime objective of promoting knowledge of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) in Israeli society. We believe that knowledge of IHL should be accessible to the general public, and the promotion of IHL will encourage fruitful discussions on its impact and application within the Israeli society

עלמ"ה היא עמותה עצמאית א-פוליטית ללא כוונת רווח, השמה לה למטרה את קידום השיח, הידע והחשיפה למשפט הומניטרי בחברה הישראלית תוך רצון להפוך לחלק אינטגראלי מעולם האקדמיה הישראלי והבין-לאומי בתחום המשפט ההומניטרי הבין-לאומי (IHL) וממערכת החינוך הישראלית בתחום זה.

יעדי העמותה מבוססים על ניצול היכולות והידע של חבריה להגשמת מטרות העמותה, תוך שמירה על אופי א-פוליטי ופניה לכל פלחי האוכלוסייה המעוניינים ללמוד ולהבין את תחום המשפט ההומניטרי הבין-לאומי. יעדי העמותה המבוססים על הרצון לקדם ולהטמיע את המשפט הבין-לאומי ההומניטרי בישראל כוללים מטרות של קידום סדנאות, כנסים ותחרויות בין-לאומיות ומקומיות להטמעת המשפט הבין-לאומי ההומניטרי, שיתוף פעולה עם גורמים רלוונטיים (לרבות: מוסדות אקדמיים בארץ ובחו"ל, ארגונים בין-לאומיים, משרדי ממשלה, תאגידים ואנשים פרטיים) וכן הענקת מלגות לסטודנטים, חוקרים ופעילים בתחום המשפט הבין-לאומי.

עלמ"ה אבלה על פטירתו בטרם עת של עו"ד דניאל רייזנר

אנו כואבים ועצובים עמוקות על פטירתו בטרם עת של עו"ד דניאל רייזנר.

דניאל היה דמות מפתח במשפט הבינ״ל, ובפרט במשפט הבינ״ל ההומניטרי (דיני הלחימה) בישראל. לאורך חייו, הוא המשיך לפתח ולעצב את התחום.

לצד קריירה מצליחה מאוד כמשפטן – תחילה בשירות הציבורי ולאחר מכן כשותף באחד ממשרדי עורכי הדין המובילים בישראל – דניאל תמיד מצא את הזמן ללמד. הוא היה מסור בכל ליבו לחלוק את הניסיון העשיר שלו, את חוכמתו המעשית ואת חוש ההומור הייחודי שלו עם עורכי דין בתחילת דרכם ועם סטודנטים.

הוא יחסר מאוד לעמיתיו, לתלמידיו ולחבריו. מחשבותינו ותנחומינו עם משפחתו.

ALMA mourns the untimely passing of Adv. Daniel Reisner

We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Adv. Daniel Reisner.

Daniel was a key figure in international law, and specifically international humanitarian law (the laws of war), in Israel. Throughout his life, he continued to develop and shape the field.

Alongside a very successful career as a practitioner—first in public service and later as a partner in one of Israel's leading law firms—Daniel always made the time to teach. He was genuinely dedicated to sharing his rich experience, practical wisdom, and unique sense of humor with early-career lawyers and students.

He will be greatly missed by his colleagues, students, and friends. Our thoughts are with his family.
