Once again, Laniado Hospital is required to relocate patients and medical departments to temporary underground areas that were never designed to function as hospital wards. While our dedicated teams continue to provide outstanding care under these extremely challenging conditions, the current reality highlights the urgent need for our flagship project—the construction of the Sheltered Emergency Hospital.

This state-of-the-art facility will enable patients to receive care in a fully protected, purpose-built medical environment, ensuring continuity of care and safety during times of war and national emergency. The events of recent days have once again demonstrated that this project is not a luxury, but an essential lifeline for the more than 500,000 residents of Netanya and the Sharon region whom Laniado serves.

Annual Nursing Scholarship Distribution Ceremony- a Celebration of Excellency

We were excited to take part in the prestigious Nefesh B'Nefesh MedEx conference that recently took place in Paris, France.

The conference brought us together with hundreds of doctors and medical students from France, Switzerland and Belgium, all with their eyes set on Israel and a desire to integrate into our healthcare system.

We had the honor of hosting in our pavilion the Minister of Immigration and Absorption, Ofir Sofer, and the Israeli Ambassador to France, Yehoshua Zarka, who reinforced the importance of the national mission of bringing quality medical personnel to Israel.
Our staff representatives Dr. Talia Fine Fried, Director of the Infectious Diseases Unit, and Mr. Moshe Yana, Director of the Medical Education and Teaching Authority, met dozens of serious candidates who see Laniado as the perfect place to work as senior physicians and to complete their internship in Israel.

The candidates showed great interest in our leading departments:
Internal | Cardiology | Orthopedics | ENT | Radiology | Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatology | Obstetrics | Gynecology.
We are waiting with open arms for the new doctors who will join the Laniado family and strengthen public medicine in Netanya, the entire Sharon region and throughout Israel. 💙

Yet another MedEx conference will take place in the USA later this month and we will be there once again as well.

*A heartwarming full-circle story for Adi, who has now become a proud father.*

29 years ago, the NICU at Laniado Hospital was Adi Karta’s first home. Born at just 27 weeks and weighing only 800 grams, he was a tiny warrior who fought for his life for three long months.

Caring for him back then with endless devotion was Eti Litig, our NICU Head Nurse. 🤍

Last week, history repeated itself in the most moving way.
Adi returned to our new NICU—but this time, not as a premature baby, but as a father. Together with his wife Shirley, they came to take home their newborn daughter. She was cared for in our fortified, state-of-the-art NICU, providing safety and peace of mind even during these challenging times of war.

At Laniado, our protected NICU operates 24/7, even under the threat of ballistic missiles and rockets. This security is exactly why we’ve seen a drastic increase in birth rates at Laniado throughout the war—parents know their little ones are in the safest hands and the safest place.

And the ultimate full-circle moment? Eti Litig, who devotedly cared for Adi nearly three decades ago, was there once again to care for the next generation and personally es**rt them home.
