Mosaica is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by Rabbi Michael Melchior, Professor Elie Wiesel and Professor Aviad HaCohen. These three leaders have contributed greatly to the field of religious peace and reconciliation. Their continued achievements inspire religious leaders, educators and social activists and help to strengthen their commitment to reconciliation and interreligious dialogue

Mosaica's vision is founded on the premise that the dialogue between Jews and Muslims can be maximized to achieve its potential under conditions of trust that is bred in a shared religious environment on one hand, and a particular identity on the other. The significant challenge according to Mosaica's perception is the acceptance of the particular identity of the Other. The Center is committed to providing innovation to conflict transformation, based on universal and traditional Jewish values of mutual respect, reconciliation and justice.
