During this weekend’s Federal Congress of Jusos in der SPD, the WBC was invited to discuss together with Hadas Zangy, Chairwoman of Young Democrats Israel, the importance of peace in the region. Hadas highlighted: “We [Young Democrats] stand firmly for a two-state solution. We must clearly address Israel’s need for security after October 7th, and at the same time acknowledge the deep suffering Palestinians have faced in these past years. Ultimately, we all need a Palestinian state where the terrorist organization Hamas can’t dictate the future of the region.”

Hadas also emphasized the role and need for international solidarity, that is necessary to achieve such peace: “A conflict is not a football game, and we are not asking anyone to pick a team. Surely, building friendships strengthens us, but becoming partners in the struggle for peace helps us even more.“

هل ترغبين في الدراسة خلال ساعات الصباح؟ هل تسكني في منطقة ابو طور؟ صور باهر؟ البلدة القديمة؟ بيت صفافا؟

يدعوك مركز ويلي براندت بالتعاون مع جمعية لسان للانضمام إلى دورات للمبتدئات في ساعات الصباح / بعد الظهر بتكلفة رمزية!

تعالي للدراسة في واحد من أجمل المراكز في القدس، للتعرف على نساء من مجتمعك واكتساب اللغة العبرية العملية واليومية مع معلمين مدرسون ذوو خبرة ناطقون باللغة.

ستُعقد الدروس مرة واحدة في الأسبوع في مركز ويلي براندت في حي أبو طور في يوم الخميس.

ستبدأ الدورة في أوائل نوفمبر(11) وتنتهي في نهاية يونيو(6).

الدورة مجانية، ورسوم التسجيل هي 250 شيكل للسنة كاملة للطالبات الجديدات (بما في ذلك كتاب الدراسة)، و200 شيكل للطالبات القديمات. رسوم التسجيل غير قابلة للاسترداد إلا في حالات استثنائية

للانضمام إلى الدروس، يجب عليك اجتياز اختبار تحديد المستوى لمعرفة أي فصل يناسب مستوى لغتك العبرية.

الحضور في يوم الاختبار والدفع هما شرطان ضروريان للمشاركة في الدورة. الحضور في الدورة إلزامي، وشهادة الإتمام مشروطة بالحضور الكامل ودرجة الاختبار النهائي.

The visit of a delegation of the to the Party Congress sparked important and meaningful conversations.
In exchanges with members of parliament and SPD representatives, the value of direct dialogue with progressive voices from the region became clear.
There was broad agreement that the current situation in Israel and Palestine must fundamentally change – and that, especially in these times, holding on to the vision of a shared and peaceful future is essential.

Der Besuch einer Delegation der Young Democrats aus Israel am SPD Parteitag hat zu wichtige Gespräche angestoßen. Im Austausch mit Abgeordneten und Vertreter*innen der SPD wurde der Wert des direkten Dialogs mit progressiven Stimmen aus der Region deutlich. Es herrschte weitgehende Einigkeit darüber, dass sich die derzeitigie Situation in Israel und Palästina grundlegend ändern muss - und dass es gerade in diesen Zeiten unerlässlich ist, an der Vision einer gemeinsamen und friedlichen Zukunft festzuhalten.
