World Vision is about the well-being of vulnerable children regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, or gender. For over 45 years, we have worked to improve the lives of children in this part of the world. The children in our current programmes in the West Bank are the most vulnerable in terms of poverty and fragility. Our goal is to nurture them, improve their resilience, and bring hope. We

work through development, relief and advocacy so vulnerable children are protected in families and communities, and so they develop the skills they need for healthy lives. World Vision JWG has one of the largest community-based presence of any organisation operating in the West Bank. In FY20, we reached 138,213 individual children, of which 74% are categorically considered most vulnerable in the West Bank. We work through 12 locations or area programmes (AP), which directly support about 40,000 children participating in sponsorship programmes. The APs are located in Hebron, Bethlehem, Nablus, Salfit, Tubas, Ramallah and Jenin, and are served by over 80 dedicated female and male staff. The operation covers 149 communities and almost 400 schools with a total annual budget of around $9 million USD. Private funding gives us stability and enables us to build long-term relationships with families, communities, schools, municipalities, village councils, the Palestinian Authority, faith communities, and other civil society actors.

مشروع جديد لحماية تعليم الأطفال في الضفة الغربية
بتمويل قدره 2.5 مليون يورو من الاتحاد الأوروبي، أطلقت مؤسسة الرؤية العالمية، بالشراكة مع مركز إبداع المعلم ووزارة التربية والتعليم الفلسطينية، مشروعاً جديداً يمتد لعامين لحماية وصول الأطفال الأكثر ضعفاً وتأثراً بالصراع إلى تعليم آمن وشامل يحفظ كرامتهم.
يأتي المشروع في وقت أدّى فيه تصاعد العنف والقيود التي تعيق وصول الطلبة إلى مدارسهم والتعليم، منذ تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2023، إلى خلق عوائق جديدة أمام تعلّم نحو 813,000 طالب وطالبة في الضفة الغربية.
وسيصل المشروع إلى نحو 22,475 طفلاً ومعلماً ومرشداً ومقدّم رعاية ضمن 50 مدرسة والمناطق الواقعة في نطاقها، من خلال توفير حصص الاستدراك التعليمي، والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي، وتدريب المعلمين، وتعزيز سلامة المدارس واستعدادها للطوارئ.

New project launched to protect children’s education in the West Bank
With EUR 2.5 million in funding from the European Union, World Vision, in partnership with the Teacher Creativity Center and the Palestinian Ministry of Education, has launched a new two-year project to safeguard vulnerable, conflict-affected children’s access to safe, inclusive and dignified education.
The project comes at a time when escalating violence and restrictions affecting students’ access to schools and education have created new barriers to learning for an estimated 813,000 students across the West Bank since October 2023.
The project will reach an estimated 22,475 children, teachers, counsellors and caregivers across 50 schools and their catchment areas through catch-up education, psychosocial support, teacher training, and strengthened school safety and emergency preparedness.

مع بدء العام الدراسي الجديد، يعود الأطفال في مختلف أنحاء الضفة الغربية إلى مقاعدهم الدراسية حاملين معهم أحلامهم وطموحاتهم، لكنهم يعودون أيضاً وسط تحديات تؤثر على تعليمهم وحياتهم اليومية.
أظهرت نتائج تقييم الاحتياجات متعدد القطاعات لعام 2026، الذي أجرته مؤسسة الرؤية العالمية في مجتمعات محلية عبر سبع محافظات في الضفة الغربية، أن 27% من مقدمي الرعاية أفادوا بأن أحد أطفالهم لا ينتظم في الحضور إلى المدرسة.
وراء كل رقم طفل يريد أن يتعلم، ويتطور، ويحلم بمستقبل أفضل.
مع العودة إلى المدرسة، نؤكد أن كل طفل يستحق فرصة مواصلة تعليمه في بيئة آمنة وداعمة، مهما كانت التحديات.

As the new school year begins, children across the West Bank are returning to their classrooms with their dreams and aspirations, but also amid challenges affecting their education and everyday lives.
World Vision’s 2026 Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment, conducted across communities in seven governorates in the West Bank, found that 27% of caregivers reported that at least one of their children was not attending school regularly.
Behind every statistic is a child who wants to learn, grow and dream of a better future.
As children go back to school, we are reminded that every child deserves the opportunity to continue their education in a safe and supportive environment, no matter the challenges.

بناء القدرات لحماية الأطفال من مخاطر الذخائر المتفجرة
في ظل المخاطر التي تشكلها الذخائر المتفجرة على سلامة الأطفال والمجتمعات، تعمل مؤسسة الرؤية العالمية على تعزيز قدرات طواقمها والميسّرين المجتمعيين لنشر رسائل توعوية تساعد الأطفال والبالغين على التعرّف إلى المخاطر وتجنبها.
وفي هذا الإطار، نفّذت الرؤية العالمية، خلال الفترة من 17 إلى 20 آب 2026 في رام الله، تدريباً لإعداد ميسّرين في مجال التوعية بمخاطر الذخائر المتفجرة (EORE)، بالتنسيق مع المركز الفلسطيني للأعمال المتعلقة بالألغام (PMAC)، وبإشراف مدربين متخصصين من المركز.
جمع التدريب، الذي استمر أربعة أيام، 13 موظفاً وموظفة من الرؤية العالمية من مناطق الشمال والوسط والجنوب، إلى جانب 10 ميسّرين مجتمعيين، بهدف تعزيز قدراتهم الفنية لتقديم جلسات توعوية تفاعلية وملائمة لمختلف الفئات العمرية للأطفال والبالغين.
من خلال التوعية بمخاطر الذخائر المتفجرة، يتعلم الأطفال كيفية التعرّف إلى الأجسام التي قد تشكّل خطراً، وتجنب لمسها أو العبث بها، والإبلاغ عنها فوراً لشخص بالغ موثوق، بما يسهم في الحد من مخاطر الإصابات وتعزيز حماية الأطفال والمجتمعات في المناطق المتأثرة.
ويشكّل هذا التدريب خطوة مهمة في تعزيز قدرة الرؤية العالمية على تنفيذ أنشطة التوعية بمخاطر الذخائر المتفجرة وفقاً للمعايير والمتطلبات الفنية المعتمدة من الجهات المختصة بالأعمال المتعلقة بالألغام.
تم تنفيذ التدريب بتمويل مشترك من التحالف الإنساني (Humanitarian Coalition – HC) والرؤية العالمية – كندا.
Building Capacity to Protect Children from Explosive Ordnance Risks
With explosive ordnance posing risks to the safety of children and communities, World Vision is strengthening the capacity of its staff and community facilitators to deliver awareness messages that help children and adults recognise and avoid these dangers.
As part of these efforts, World Vision conducted an Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) Training of Facilitators in Ramallah from 17–20 August 2026, in coordination with the Palestinian Mine Action Centre (PMAC) and delivered by PMAC trainers.
The four-day training brought together 13 World Vision staff from the North, Central and South Zones, alongside 10 community facilitators, strengthening their technical capacity to deliver engaging and age-appropriate EORE sessions for children and adults.
Through EORE, children learn how to recognise potentially dangerous items, avoid touching or playing with them, and immediately report them to a trusted adult, helping reduce the risk of explosive-ordnance-related injuries and strengthen the protection of children and communities in affected areas.
The training marks an important step in strengthening World Vision’s capacity to deliver EORE activities in line with the technical standards and requirements established by the relevant mine action authorities.
The training was jointly funded by Humanitarian Coalition/ Coalition Humanitaire (HC) and World Vision Canada.

القيادة تبدأ بالاستماع
خلف كل صوت خجول، أو طاقة كبيرة، أو فكرة غير مكتملة، قد يكون هناك قائد ينتظر من يؤمن به.
منذ عام 2023، بدأت هناء، وهي شابة ناشطة مجتمعية وقائدة في نادي امباكت بلس في محافظة طوباس، رحلتها مع اليافعين. ومع الوقت، تعلّمت أن العمل معهم لا يعني تغيير شخصياتهم، بل الاستماع إليهم، وفهمهم، ومنحهم المساحة لاكتشاف قدراتهم وتوجيه طاقاتهم.
ومن خلال نادي امباكت بلس، شاهدت هناء فتيات انتقلن تدريجياً من الخجل وقلة المشاركة إلى التعبير عن آرائهن والتفاعل بثقة أكبر، لتدرك أن أثر النادي لا ينتهي بانتهاء الجلسة، بل يمتد إلى المدرسة والحياة اليومية والطريقة التي يرى بها اليافعون أنفسهم.
تقول هناء: "بالنسبة لي، اليافع شعلة مليئة بالأفكار والطاقة. ودورنا كمجتمع ليس إطفاء هذه الشعلة، بل احتضانها وتقويتها وتشجيعها وتوجيهها في الاتجاه الصحيح."
في عام 2025، وصلت برامج الرؤية العالمية لتعزيز صمود الأطفال والشباب ومهاراتهم الحياتية إلى 15,300 طفل وشاب من خلال 66 نادياً في مختلف أنحاء الضفة الغربية، من بينها 19 نادياً من نوادي امباكت بلس شارك فيها ما يقارب 6,300 يافع ويافعة.

Leadership Begins with Listening
Behind every quiet voice, burst of energy or unfinished idea, there may be a leader waiting for someone to believe in them.
Since 2023, Hanaa, a young community activist and IMPACT+ Club leader in Tubas Governorate, has been on a journey alongside adolescents. Along the way, she learnt that working with young people is not about changing who they are, but about listening, understanding and giving them the space to discover their abilities and channel their energy.
Through the IMPACT+ Club, Hanaa watched girls gradually move from shyness and limited participation to expressing their ideas and engaging with greater confidence. She realised that the impact of the club does not end when a session finishes; it can reach into school, everyday life and the way adolescents see themselves.
"To me, an adolescent is a flame full of ideas and energy," Hanaa says. "Our role as a community is not to extinguish that flame, but to embrace it, strengthen it, encourage it and guide it in the right direction."
In 2025, World Vision's child and youth resilience and life skills programming reached 15,300 children and young people through 66 clubs across the West Bank, including 19 IMPACT+ Clubs that engaged close to 6,300 adolescents.

هذا الإنجاز يعكس سنوات من الالتزام والاجتهاد والتعلّم المستمر، ونفخر برؤية هذا النجاح الأكاديمي يضاف إلى مسيرتها المهنية وخبرتها في دعم جودة البرامج وتعزيز التعلّم والمساءلة.
نتمنى لها مزيدًا من النجاح والإنجاز، وأن تواصل توظيف علمها وخبرتها لإحداث أثر إيجابي في حياة الأطفال والمجتمعات.

التعلّم لا يرتبط بعمر: رحلة جدّ مع التربية الإيجابية
بعد سنوات كأب، وجدّ، ومعلّم متقاعد، وإمام مسجد، ظنّ خالد أن خبرته الطويلة علّمته الكثير عن تربية الأطفال. لكن مشاركته في جلسات التربية الإيجابية فتحت أمامه مساحة جديدة للتعلّم.
خلال البرنامج، بدأ خالد ينظر بطريقة مختلفة إلى سلوك الأطفال واليافعين، وتعلّم كيف يمكن للاستماع، والحوار، وفهم احتياجاتهم أن تحوّل لحظات التحدي إلى فرص للتوجيه وبناء علاقات أقوى.
واليوم، لا يحتفظ خالد بما تعلّمه لنفسه؛ بل ينقله إلى أسرته ويستفيد منه أيضاً في دوره كإمام في مجتمعه.
قصة خالد تذكّرنا بأن التعلّم لا يرتبط بعمر، وأن التغيير يمكن أن يبدأ من داخل الأسرة ويمتد أثره إلى المجتمع.

Learning Has No Age: A Grandfather's Journey with Positive Discipline
After years as a father, grandfather and retired teacher and now serving as a mosque imam Khaled thought his life experience had taught him a great deal about raising children. But joining Positive Discipline sessions opened a new space for learning.
Through the programme, Khaled began to see children’s and adolescents’ behaviour differently, learning how listening, dialogue and understanding their needs can turn challenging moments into opportunities for guidance and stronger relationships.
Today, Khaled is not keeping what he learnt to himself. He is applying it within his own family and drawing it in his role as an imam in his community.
Khaled’s journey reminds us that learning has no age and that change can begin within a family and extend into a wider community.

تدريبات الاستعداد للطوارئ تنطلق في شرق بيت لحم
ضمن مشروع ممول من التحالف الألماني للعمل الإنساني (ADH) ، أطلقت الرؤية العالمية، بالتعاون مع الدفاع المدني الفلسطيني، سلسلة من تدريبات الاستعداد للطوارئ في تجمعات شرق بيت لحم، بدءاً من كيسان.
شارك في التدريب 56 مشاركاً، من بينهم 29 سيدة و27 فتى، وتضمن جلسات توعوية وتطبيقات عملية حول استخدام طفايات الحريق، وإجراءات الإخلاء، والإسعافات الأولية الأساسية، بإشراف مدربين من الدفاع المدني الفلسطيني.

نستعد اليوم… لغدٍ أكثر أماناً.
Emergency Preparedness Trainings Kick Off in East Bethlehem
As part of a project funded by Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH), World Vision, in collaboration with the Palestinian Civil Defense (PCD), has launched a series of emergency preparedness trainings across communities in East Bethlehem, starting in Kisan.
The training brought together 56 participants – 29 women and 27 boys – for awareness sessions and practical exercises on fire extinguisher use, evacuation procedures and basic first aid, led by PCD trainers.

فلسطين خضراء: ثلاث سنوات من العمل نحو مستقبل أكثر استدامة
بعد 37 شهراً من العمل المشترك، اختُتم مشروع "فلسطين خضراء"، بعد رحلة ساهمت في تعزيز العمل البيئي وبناء قدرة المجتمعات المحلية على التكيّف مع آثار التغيّر المناخي في الضفة الغربية.
خلال المشروع، شارك 40 مجتمعاً في تحديد المخاطر البيئية والمناخية، وتم تشكيل 22 لجنة خضراء ضمّت نحو 520 عضواً، وتنفيذ 40 تدخلاً بيئياً مجتمعياً استجاب للأولويات المحلية. كما وصلت 80 حملة توعية بيئية إلى أكثر من 92,000 طفل ومقدم رعاية وفرد من المجتمع، إلى جانب 80 نشاطاً بيئياً للأطفال عززت معرفتهم ومشاركتهم في حماية البيئة.
من حلول الطاقة الشمسية وإدارة النفايات والحفاظ على المياه، إلى تمكين الأطفال والشباب والمجتمعات المحلية من قيادة التغيير، يترك مشروع فلسطين خضراء وراءه معرفة وشراكات ومبادرات محلية تواصل المساهمة في بناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة.
نُفّذ المشروع من قبل الرؤية العالمية بالشراكة مع مركز العمل التنموي – معاً، وبدعم من الوزارة الاتحادية الألمانية للتعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية (BMZ).

Green Palestine: Three Years of Action for a More Sustainable Future
After 37 months of collective action, the Green Palestine project has concluded, marking a journey that strengthened environmental action and community resilience to climate change across the West Bank.
Throughout the project, 40 communities were supported to identify environmental and climate-related risks, 22 Green Committees brought together around 520 members, and 40 community-based environmental interventions responded to locally identified priorities. In addition, 80 environmental awareness campaigns reached more than 92,000 children, caregivers and community members, while 80 child-focused environmental activities strengthened children's knowledge and participation in protecting their environment.
From solar energy and waste management to water conservation and empowering children, young people and communities to lead change, Green Palestine leaves behind knowledge, partnerships and locally led initiatives that will continue contributing to a more sustainable future.
The project was implemented by World Vision in partnership with MAAN Development Center مركز العمل التنموي /معا, with support from the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ).

دوّار لطرق أكثر أماناً
كيف يمكن لمبادرة بيئية أن تجعل الطرق أكثر أماناً وتساهم في بناء مجتمع أكثر خضرة؟
مع اختتام مشروع فلسطين الخضراء، نسلّط الضوء على مبادرات مجتمعية جمعت بين السلامة وحماية البيئة.
ساهم المشروع في تحويل تقاطع طرق عالي الخطورة إلى دوّار آمن وأخضر، مما ساعد في تحسين السلامة المرورية وحماية الأطفال في طريقهم إلى المدرسة، إلى جانب تعزيز الوعي البيئي.
كما شملت المبادرة زراعة نباتات محلية وطبية، لتحويل الموقع إلى مساحة عامة أكثر جاذبية تدعم التنوع الحيوي وتشجع مشاركة المجتمع في الحفاظ على البيئة.
وتُظهر هذه المبادرة كيف يمكن للحلول المحلية أن تجمع بين سلامة المجتمع والاستدامة البيئية.

A Roundabout for Safer Roads
How can an environmental initiative make roads safer while contributing to a greener community?
As the Green Palestine Project ends, we are highlighting community-led initiatives that have brought together safety and environmental protection.
The project helped transform a high-risk road crossing into a safe, green roundabout, improving road safety and helping protect children on their way to school while promoting environmental awareness.
The initiative also introduced native and medicinal plants, creating a more attractive public space that supports biodiversity and encourages community engagement in protecting the environment.
This initiative demonstrates how local solutions can bring together community safety and environmental sustainability.
