World Vision is about the well-being of vulnerable children regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, or gender. For over 45 years, we have worked to improve the lives of children in this part of the world. The children in our current programmes in the West Bank are the most vulnerable in terms of poverty and fragility. Our goal is to nurture them, improve their resilience, and bring hope. We

work through development, relief and advocacy so vulnerable children are protected in families and communities, and so they develop the skills they need for healthy lives. World Vision JWG has one of the largest community-based presence of any organisation operating in the West Bank. In FY20, we reached 138,213 individual children, of which 74% are categorically considered most vulnerable in the West Bank. We work through 12 locations or area programmes (AP), which directly support about 40,000 children participating in sponsorship programmes. The APs are located in Hebron, Bethlehem, Nablus, Salfit, Tubas, Ramallah and Jenin, and are served by over 80 dedicated female and male staff. The operation covers 149 communities and almost 400 schools with a total annual budget of around $9 million USD. Private funding gives us stability and enables us to build long-term relationships with families, communities, schools, municipalities, village councils, the Palestinian Authority, faith communities, and other civil society actors.

"لكل طفل الحق في اللعب بأمان"
بنات، وأولاد، وأطفال من أصحاب الهمم شاركوا المساحة نفسها، والفرح نفسه، والحلم نفسه… ليؤكدوا أن لكل طفل الحق بأن يشعر بالأمان، والانتماء، والتقدير.
لأن أحلام أطفالنا لا تقل أهمية عن أحلام أي طفل في العالم.
ولأن اللعب ليس مجرد لعبة… بل مساحة أمان، وفرصة للحلم، ولصناعة الأمل.
استمروا بالحلم… واستمروا باللعب.

What did the “Every Child Has the Right to Play Safely” initiative look like?

Girls, boys, and children with disabilities shared the same space, the same joy, and the same dream, proving that every child deserves to feel safe, included, and valued.
Because our children’s dreams are no less important than the dreams of children anywhere else in the world.
And because play is not just a game, but a safe space, a source of hope, and an opportunity to dream.

لحظات مليئة بالفرح، والطاقة، والانتماء…
شهدت مبادرة:
"لكل طفل الحق في أن يلعب بأمان"
مشاركة واسعة من الأطفال والشباب، والفتيات والفتيان، والأطفال من ذوي الإعاقة، ضمن أجواء مليئة بالحماس، والتشجيع، واللعب الآمن في ملاعب جامعة النجاح الوطنية.
شارك في البطولة:
15 فريقاً للذكور
4 فرق للإناث
وحوالي 50 طفلاً من ذوي الإعاقة من مؤسستي "معهد نعنيش" و"فن من القلب"
كما شاركت فرق رياضية من محافظات:
نابلس، وسلفيت، وأريحا، وطوباس، وقلقيلية.
ومن خلال هذه المبادرة، اجتمع الأطفال في مساحات آمنة منحتهم فرصة للعب، والتعبير عن أنفسهم، وبناء الصداقات، والشعور بالثقة، والانتماء.
لأن اللعب ليس مجرد لعبة…
بل حق لكل طفل.

Moments full of joy, energy, and belonging…
The initiative:
“Every Child Has the Right to Play Safely”
brought together children and youth, girls and boys, and children with disabilities in an atmosphere filled with excitement, encouragement, and safe play at An-Najah National University playgrounds.
The tournament included:
• 15 boys’ teams
• 4 girls’ teams
• Around 50 children with disabilities from “Na’neesh Institute” and “Art from the Heart”
Sports teams also participated from the governorates of:
Nablus, Salfit, Jericho, Tubas, and Qalqilya.
Through this initiative, children came together in safe spaces that gave them the opportunity to play, express themselves, build friendships, and feel confident and included.
Because play is not just a game…
it is a right for every child.

ضمن مشروع التعلّم من خلال خدمة المجتمع، نفّذ أعضاء نادي إمباكت في بلدة برقة مبادرة مجتمعية بالتعاون مع مجلس قروي برقة، تمثلت بتركيب لافتات إرشادية للمساعدة في تسهيل الوصول والتنقل خلال فترات الإغلاقات.
وهدفت المبادرة إلى تعزيز سهولة الوصول إلى مختلف المرافق والوجهات داخل البلدة، وخدمة السكان والزوار، والمساهمة في إظهار البلدة بصورة أكثر تنظيماً وجمالاً.
تعكس هذه المبادرة دور الشباب في خدمة مجتمعاتهم والمساهمة في إيجاد حلول عملية تعزز روح التعاون والانتماء والمسؤولية المجتمعية.
As part of a Community Service-Learning project, members of the IMPACT+ Club in Burqa implemented a community initiative in cooperation with Burqa Village Council by installing guidance signs to support movement and accessibility during periods of closures.
The initiative aimed to improve access to different locations within the town, support residents and visitors, and contribute to presenting the town in a more organised and welcoming way.
This initiative reflects the important role of youth in serving their communities and contributing to practical solutions that strengthen cooperation, belonging, and community responsibility.
