Netivot Aliya Bnot Sherut Netivot Aliya is a Sherut Leumi program for English-speaking girls and lone Benot Sherut in partnership with Aminadav.

We have our own apartments in Jerusalem and support the girls throughout their year.

"Hi, I'm Maytal Kessler! I'm 21 and I made aliyah by myself about two years ago from New Jersey.

Last year I was a Bat Sherut at Hadassah Ein Kerem and this year I am at Magen David Adom (MADA), Israel's emergency responders.

My job includes lots of different things, like responding to emergency calls, treating patients in different situations, and bringing them for further treatment to the hospital.

My first call in MADA was for a woman who ended up giving birth in her home to a healthy baby girl with our help.

Netivot Aliya has been so good for me. I have an amazing rekezet who cares about me and really fights to help me get what I want out of my sherut.

I don't think my service would have gone this smoothly without their help."

What we are all about...

After seeing there was a great need for such a program, we started a program with Aminadav and Telem for English speaking Bnot Sherut to give them extra support. WE currently have two full apartments in Kiriat Moshe Jerusalem. Some girls have family here and made aliya as children or teens, and others are bodedot and here on their own. The girls live together and have a weekly Torah class in English, a weekly meal and apartment activities, as well as ulpan for girls who need. Most of the girls are doing their Sherut placements in Hebrew and appreciate coming home to a comfortable environment. We also have Shabbatons throughout the year and a madricha who is there for the girls if they need anything. We are now starting registration for 2019-2020.
