מדור לדור, הסיפור ממשיך.
פסח, חג האביב, הוא זמן של התחדשות. הזדמנות להביט קדימה, לבחון מחדש סדרי עדיפויות ולהיפטר מן החמץ ומהעומס הרוחני, כדי לפנות מקום לצמיחה, הן כיחידים והן כקהילות.
בקונגרס היהודי העולמי-ישראל אנו פועלים מתוך תפיסה זו, ומחדדים את שליחותנו לפעול למען ישראל ולמען רווחת הקהילות היהודיות ברחבי העולם, ולהיאבק באנטישמיות על כל צורותיה.
בחג הפסח אנו גם מביטים לאחור, אל סיפור יציאת מצרים וראשית התהוותו של עמנו. אנו מתבוננים בערכים של חירות, גאולה וזיכרון, ובתחושת השותפות העמוקה המחברת בינינו כעם.
קיווינו כי בעת שליחת ברכה זו, המלחמה עם איראן כבר תהיה מאחורינו. לצערנו, היא עדיין נמשכת, ולא ברור מתי תגיע לסיומה. אנו מקווים כי חרף האתגרים, תוכלו אתם ובני משפחותיכם לציין חג פסח שמח ושליו, וכי ימי החג יעניקו רגע של נשימה וחיזוק להמשך הדרך.

From generation to generation, the story continues.
Passover, the Festival of Spring, is a time of renewal. An opportunity to look to the future, take stock of priorities, and rid ourselves of any “chametz,” or spiritual clutter, making space for growth both as individuals and as communities.
At WJC-Israel, we act from this perspective. We sharpen our mission to work for Israel and for the well-being of Jewish communities around the world, and to combat antisemitism in all its forms.
On Passover, we also look to the past and recount the story of the Exodus from Egypt and the birth of our nation. We reflect on the themes of freedom, redemption, memory and a shared sense of what unites us as Jews.
We hoped that by the time we send this Pesach greeting, the war with Iran would already be behind us. Unfortunately, it is still ongoing, and it is unclear when it will end. We hope that despite the challenges, you and your families will be able to celebrate a happy and peaceful Passover, and that the holiday days will provide a moment of respite and strength for the journey ahead.
