הקונגרס היהודי העולמי - ישראל (WJC Israel) הינו ארגון חבר של הקונגרס היהודי העולמי, הגוף הבינלאומי המייצג קהילות יהודיות ב-100 מדינות ברחבי העולם בפני ממשלות, פרלמנטים, ארגונים בינלאומיים ונציגי דתות אחרות.
הנהלת הקונגרס בארץ מורכבת מנציגי המפלגות היהודיות, ציוניות בכנסת באופן יחסי למספר מנדטים של כל מפלגה.
הקונגרס היהודי העולמי-ישראל פועל כדי לשמור ולפתח את הקשר בין הקהילה היהודית בישראל ובין הקהילות היהודיות בתפוצות על מנת לטפח סולידריות ואחדות.
בארץ, הקונגרס מוביל את המאמץ המתואם, בשיתוף עם ממשלת ישראל וארגונים יהודים בינלאומיים, כדי להילחם במתקפה על הלגיטימיות של ישראל בזירה המשפטית, התקשורתית והדיפלומטית.
כחלק מהמאמץ להגן על זכויותיו של העם היהודי, הקונגרס היהודי העולמי-ישראל פועל להשגת צדק לפליטים היהודים יוצאי ארצות ערב ואיראן, שנאלצו לברוח מבתיהם בעת הקמת מדינת ישראל, עקב רדיפות שיטתיות במדינות המזה"ת וצפון אפריקה.
הקונגרס היהודי העולמי-ישראל עושה מאמצים לקידום שיתוף פעולה בין דתי עם מגוון קבוצות וקהילות נוצריות בארץ ובעולם המבוססים על העקרונות המשותפים של צדק, שלום וחירות. World Jewish Congress Israel (WJC Israel) is affiliated with the World Jewish Congress, the international body which represents Jewish communities in 100 countries around the world to governments, parliaments, international organizations, and other faiths. WJC Israel’s Executive Board is comprised of representatives of Israel’s Jewish, Zionistic political parties in proportion to the number of Knesset seats held by each such political party. WJC Israel works to maintain and develop a strong relationship between the Jewish community in Israel and Jewish communities in the Diaspora in order to foster solidarity and unity. In Israel, it leads the coordinated effort, together with the government of Israel and major international Jewish organizations, to combat the assault on Israel’s legitimacy in legal, media, and diplomatic circles. As part of the effort to protect and champion the rights of the Jewish people, WJC Israel seeks justice for the Jewish refugees from Arab countries and Iran, who were forced to flee their ancestral homes at the time of the establishment of the State of Israel, due to systematic persecution by their host countries. WJC Israel also engages in efforts to advance interfaith cooperation with a variety of Christian groups and communities both in Israel and abroad based on the shared principles of justice, peace and freedom.
