Making Aliyah changes almost everything. The language, the rhythm of the week, the streets you walk, the people around your table. But ask anyone who's done it, and they'll tell you how much good comes with all that change.

Summer 2026 may be coming to an end, but Aliyah flights are not 💙

Welcome home to all of the New Olim who made Aliyah this week 🥰

"When I made Aliyah 6 years ago, I turned down job offers from every major hospital in Tel Aviv.

That's because I had visited ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, and it was love at first sight.

Today I lead the orthopedic rehabilitation department here.
And every day I get to see what this village really is.

The village spans over 40 acres, including:
- Homes for over two hundred children and adults living with severe multiple complex disabilities.
- An education system providing special education, day care, kindergarten and schools for over two hundred students every day.
- The Negev's only rehabilitation medical center, helping IDF heroes and citizens of the south get back to life.

There are additional facilities as well:
- A hydrotherapy pool,
- Equine therapy stable and a therapeutic and inclusive organic farm and so much more

Founded by Major General (Res.) Doron Almog Avrutsky, there were 3 goals:
1. Provide world class rehabilitation services to people living with and touched by disability.
2. Be a vehicle for broader change through education, inclusive programming and advocacy.
3. Stimulate the economy in a periphery region that didn't have much going for it.

And brick by brick, the village was built.

This week on September 2, we celebrated 20 years of ADI Negev with even the President of Israel will joining us as guest of honor!

September 1st means back to school in Israel ✈️🇮🇱📚

Wishing the best of luck to the 700 kids who made Aliyah this summer from the US and Canada - including 80 who are starting first grade today!

We're so excited for you all and hope you adapt quickly and easily.

Celebrating the Summer of 2026 New Olim 💙

Last night, we hosted New Olim who landed over the summer at NBN. Over 450 people attended, including Minister of Aliyah and Integration אופיר סופר - Ofir Sofer to greet them and mark the start of their new lives in Israel. There was food, drinks, inflatables, craft stations for the kids, a Zionist Education Initiative lecture for adults, plus NBN staff on hand to help with Post-Aliyah questions.

Over 2,700 New Olim have made Aliyah from North America so far in 2026, and 640 of them chose Jerusalem as their home - making it the top destination in the country for Olim from the US and Canada. August was also the busiest month in our 24-year history, with over 1,100 New Olim arriving in just four weeks.
