Jared Kushner’s message carries a much bigger meaning than one warning: Washington appears to be drawing a line between diplomacy and consequences.

The choice being presented is straightforward — disarmament can open the door to a different future for Gaza. Refusal could mean Israel retains the freedom to act against the remaining Hamas military infrastructure.

For Israel, the principle is equally clear: October 7 cannot be allowed to repeat itself.

The real question now is whether Hamas chooses disarmament — or forces the next chapter to be decided on the battlefield.
