Harmony in the Holy Land is a series of sacred music events fostering harmony amongst peoples of all faiths in the Middle East and abroad. Background: On December 21-22nd, 2012, Harmony in the Holy Land united musicians and religious/spiritual leaders of the Abrahamic faiths - Christianity, Islam and Judaism - in a weekend of live-streamed, globally broadcast prayer & concert events from the heart
of Jerusalem. Hundreds of international events that weekend were integrated into a 33-hour live Birth 2012 online broadcast produced by the SHIFT Network, with the intention to send inspirational messages of hope and unity around the world, marking the dawn of a new era of humanity as prophesied by the ancient Mayans. Broadcasted locations included Byron Bay, Dublin, New York City, Los Angeles, Giza, Chitzen Itza, Guatemala, Peru, Chiang Mai, and more. UNIFY, the global prayer/meditation for peace, broadcasted Muslim, Christian & Jewish religious leaders conducting prayers at the central holy places of their faiths in Jerusalem's Old City, synchronized with thousands of prayer events worldwide. Sacred sites included the Room of the Last Supper, The Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock/Noble Sanctuary as part of the UNIFY Jerusalem Call to Prayer for the Harmony of All World Religions. The Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders, The Jerusalem Peacemakers, Birth 2012, UNIFY, The Shift Network & Peace Day LIVE collaborated to create this unprecedented weekend of events, live-streamed on Friday afternoon and Saturday evening from sacred sites throughout the Old City of Jerusalem.
