Dear Dr. Mindy and Dr. Scott Lippe
On behalf of the entire Ezrat Avot family, we extend our deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of Mindy’s beloved mother, Elaine Schachter.
Elaine was remembered with great affection as a woman of exceptional warmth, kindness, and generosity of spirit. Her close friendship with our founder, Naomi z”l, and her deep dedication to Ezrat Avot’s mission were a true blessing to our organization. She believed wholeheartedly in caring for Jerusalem’s elderly with dignity, and her support and friendship helped shape the values we continue to uphold today.
For more than 20 years, your leadership of the American Friends of Ezrat Avot has been a pillar of strength for our work. That enduring commitment reflects the values Elaine embodied so naturally - compassion, responsibility, and a profound sense of community. Her legacy lives on not only through her own actions, but through the impact you continue to make on behalf of those we serve.
May Elaine’s memory be a blessing, and may you find comfort in knowing that she touched many lives and will always hold a special place in the heart of Ezrat Avot.
With sympathy and gratitude,
The Sharabi family and the staff of Ezrat Avot
