We were delighted to welcome 40 students from Ariel University to ALYN.

Beyond meeting our rehabilitation teams and learning about the connection between innovation and care, they heard from Maya, a remarkable 17-year-old who shared her personal journey with honesty, courage, and hope.

Because sometimes the most powerful lesson doesn't come from a classroom, it comes from meeting someone who turns challenges into possibilities.

A Bond That Lasts a Lifetime 💙

Some connections never fade. Years ago, Raz z"l came to ALYN for treatment and rehabilitation. Since then, his parents, Mirit Liba-Mizrahi z"l and Eran, became part of the ALYN family.

This past Saturday, their annual fundraising concert once again brought together a remarkable community in support of ALYN’s children. What began as gratitude and love for Raz has become a powerful tradition, turning memory into hope for other children and families.

As we share this exciting news from American Friends of ALYN Hospital, we would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to Adam Schwartz for his dedicated leadership and commitment during his tenure as Executive Director. Adam has been a valued partner and champion of ALYN’s mission, and we are deeply grateful for all he has done to advance our work on behalf of children with disabilities and their families.
At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Abby Leviss into this important role. We look forward to working together and wish her every success as she leads American Friends of ALYN Hospital into its next chapter.

Abby Leviss is a nonprofit leader with more than 25 years of experience in fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement. Her career has included leadership roles at American Friends of Magen David Adom, Jewish National Fund-USA, the Jewish Community Relations Council of the San Francisco Bay Area, and American Jewish World Service, as well as early work with the Shoah Foundation. Abby holds advanced degrees in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management from USC and Hebrew Union College.

Through remote assessments and professional guidance, this meaningful humanitarian collaboration continues to bring rehabilitation, dignity, and hope beyond borders.

A meaningful meeting recently took place between NATAN and leaders of the Druze community in Israel, focused on expanding access to rehabilitation care for Druze children with disabilities in Syria.

Through NATAN’s NIFLA program, developed in partnership with ALYN Hospital Pediatric & Adolescent Rehabilitation Center PELE Center, children living in war-affected Syrian communities are receiving personalized rehabilitation solution following remote assessments and guidance from professional teams.

Together with Druze religious and community leaders, efforts are now underway to reach additional children and strengthen this cross border humanitarian collaboration.

The Art of Rehabilitation 🎨

Yesterday at ALYN, a special conference on arts therapy in pediatric rehabilitation brought together around 100 therapists, educators, and professionals from across Israel, in partnership with SASA Setton Organization.

Through discussions on creativity, music, emotional healing, and rehabilitation, the day highlighted the powerful connection between body, mind, and the journey of recovery.
