Shatil - An Initiative of the New Israel Fund Shatil is Israel's leading social change organization. We provide more than 13,000 hours of organizational guidance and train 2500 people annually.

Shatil, the New Israel Fund’s Initiative for Social Change, has been on the cutting edge of building civil society and actively promoting democracy, tolerance, and social justice in Israel for 30 years. Shatil proactively works on women’s rights; religious pluralism; environmental justice; equal healthcare; disabilities rights; local sustainable economic development; shared society; employment; im

migrant rights and integration; housing; national budget priorities, participatory democracy, and more. During the past thirty years, Shatil has established or guided 83 coalitions; has influenced 500 laws, bills or amendments; and has conducted 1,275 trainings, upgrading the work of 5,000 civil society organizations and groups. Shatil’s Center for Policy Change (CPC) plays a key role in advancing policies that impact on Israeli society through its strategic working relationships with the media and a broad range of decision-makers. Guiding organizations and groups in public campaigns and behind-the-scenes efforts, Shatil’s CPC is a critical building block for protecting Israel’s democracy and creating social change. Shatil headquarters are in Jerusalem, with regional offices in Haifa, and Beersheva.
