Working with local venues, organizations, and individuals, the Women's Gathering brings together many facets of the Jerusalem cultural landscape and is contributing to making the city more tolerant, inclusive and diverse. The success of the Women's Gathering has led to the production of more events targeted to the both the LGBTQ communities and the general population.
1) "Women's Gathering" (WG
) is a monthly gathering of Le***an, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, and Q***r women and women-identified peoples and friends for mingling, meeting, and community building. Each venue that participates is added to our list of "Gay Friendly" businesses in Jerusalem. These events are totally free of charge and are open to the larger public as well.
2) “Lilith // music art” is an event held at the Avram Music Bar which promotes women's music and artistic expression. Each event hosts a local, national or international woman and/or woman-identified musician or band for a full concert, includes sporadic poetry readings and features other forms of performance and visual art. It provides a platform for women and q***r peoples to showcase their creativity. These events are open to the public.
3) "eVɘ" is a regular dance party held at the Bass Club for the q***r community of Jerusalem. The event generally promotes women and women-identified DJs and offers amateur DJs a chance to develop their skills. Many of the main DJs are brought in from Tel Aviv while the warm up DJs are local, building bridges between the two cities. These parties are designed to provide an open, loving and celebratory q***r space and to encourage women's club music. Straight friends of all genders and gay men are welcome as well.
