Most people know the Netzah Yehuda Battalion. Far fewer know what stands behind every soldier in it.

Since 1999, Nahal Haredi has built a full circle of support for Haredi young men who choose to serve, from the first question about their future to the years after discharge.

Seven programs. One path. 🇮🇱

Over the coming weeks, we'll take you inside each one: the people, the places, and the stories you don't usually hear.

Follow Friends of Nahal Haredi to see how these brave young men are defending Israel and building its future.

Meet the young men who protect Israel — far from home. 🇮🇱

They're the lone soldiers of Netzah Yehuda / Nahal Haredi: the IDF battalion where Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) young men serve while keeping their faith fully — Torah, kosher, tefillah, even on the front line.

Many of them enlisted alone. To put on that uniform, they stepped away from the only community they'd ever known. Which means no family at the Shabbat table, no one to call when it's hard, no home to come back to on leave.

So we became their family.

Here's what that means, every single day:

🏠 A real home — 34 apartments where a lone soldier has his own key, his own bed, and people who know his name. Around 250 young men live in them now.

📖 A rabbi at his side — in the field, on base, wherever he is, so he never keeps Shabbat or Yom Tov alone.

🍽️ A place at the table — warm holiday meals and somewhere to belong when the chagim come.

These are the young men we stand with and we'd love for you to stand with them too.
