Will was a free spirit who lived on his own terms and couldn’t be held back. After October 7th he decided he was going to draft. His heart was set on Egoz and he spoke about it constantly. He ended up in Golani and became the proudest Golanchik there was - never missing a chance to tell the rest of us we were all אפס and that only Golani actually fights 😅.
He lived every moment fully, yet always felt he wasn’t doing enough. In the army he wanted to push harder and do more, and afterwards, he was actively trying to help the lone soldier community.
He loved Israel fiercely. Even when he returned to America a few months ago to get the help he needed, he never stopped talking about coming back. He said there was nowhere else he wanted to be. Every time the fighting intensified or another casualty was announced, he insisted we had to hit back harder and that he needed to return to miluim.
He had a huge heart. The clearest way he showed it was through his love for עם ישראל and מדינת ישראל, and through his drive to support the lone soldiers who serve without family nearby.
The world lost one of the purest and most unique souls to walk this earth.
Funeral details to follow.

In the field. 💚
This past month alone, Smiling Soldiers hit 20+ bases just to check in on our Lone Soldiers.
Nothing better than seeing those smiles.

Making sure everyone is accounted for and safe is critical before and after every mission.

In the heat of battle, chaos can make it easy to lose track. That’s exactly why the “Iron Numbers” system exists: a disciplined, reliable method to keep every soldier accounted for when it matters most.

A team is strongest when everyone brings something else to the table, and knows his or their place and job.
In each infantry team, there are different positions that soldiers hold to be the most effective unit.
Each is vital, in its own way. Some take a week to learn, some take ten or even sixteen.

But they all come together to make a powerhouse, and bring their special skills.

We hope you learned something new, and be sure to check back in for future posts with more IDF knowledge and facts!

Today is the 3rd of Tammuz.
“Gimmel Tammuz” – marking the 32nd Hilulah of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

On this sacred day, we honor the Rebbe’s everlasting impact - both globally and in Eretz Yisrael.

His vision and teachings have reached every corner of the world, inspiring millions of Jews across all communities and continents to deepen their connection to Torah, Mitzvot, and Hashem.

Even thirty-two years after his passing, his influence continues to grow stronger, guiding new generations, igniting Chabad Houses worldwide, and strengthening Jewish life and identity everywhere.

As Eretz Yisrael continues to face threats from all sides and Jewish people all around the world are facing terror and evil, we draw strength from the Rebbe’s unwavering message: our true power lies in Torah, Mitzvot, and unity.

He reminded us that spiritual strength brings real protection for Am Yisrael.

Let us be inspired to grow in faith and action, and demand from Hashem: “Ad Matai?” - Until when must we suffer in this Galut?

Let’s daven for a Refuah Shleima for the wounded, complete victory - and above all, MOSHIACH NOW!

(Tradition teaches that the days around a Tzaddik’s passing are powerful for blessings. If you’d like names brought to the Rebbe’s Ohel for a bracha, please PM us.)

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Binyamin Vais z”l, a Lone Soldier from Ottawa, Canada, who tragically passed away yesterday during his training for IDF Special Forces.

The Levaya will be at 16:00 in Eretz Hachaim cemetery outside Beit Shemesh.

May Hashem comfort his family, may they know no more pain, and may we be reunited with him immediately with Moshiach!

This Shavuot, we relive the moment at the foot of Mount Sinai - where we once stood - k’ish echad b’lev echad - as one person with one heart. No divisions. Just pure unity, ready to receive the Torah together.
That same spirit of coming together as one lives on today. In these times, the IDF is the living embodiment of our people uniting, soldiers from every corner of galut, every background, every stream of Israeli society, standing shoulder to shoulder as one force, one heart, one destiny. They show us what it truly means to stand together and stand for each other.
When we support and stand with them, we recreate the unity of Sinai in our generation.
May this chag renew that unbreakable bond in all of us.
One people. One heart. One future.

Chag Shavuot Sameach ❤️

“Har HaBayit BiYadeinu!”
“The Temple Mount is in our hands!”

Today marks 59 years since the reunification of Jerusalem. After nearly 2,000 years, the city the Jewish people longed for returned to Jewish hands, allowing us to once again stand close to the place where the Beit HaMikdash once stood. This day reminds us of our deep connection between the Jewish people and our eternal capital, and of the prayers whispered for generations to return. May it be Hashem’s will that we soon witness the coming of Moshiach and merit to serve Him once again in the rebuilt Beit HaMikdash.
