Will was a free spirit who lived on his own terms and couldn’t be held back. After October 7th he decided he was going to draft. His heart was set on Egoz and he spoke about it constantly. He ended up in Golani and became the proudest Golanchik there was - never missing a chance to tell the rest of us we were all אפס and that only Golani actually fights 😅.
He lived every moment fully, yet always felt he wasn’t doing enough. In the army he wanted to push harder and do more, and afterwards, he was actively trying to help the lone soldier community.
He loved Israel fiercely. Even when he returned to America a few months ago to get the help he needed, he never stopped talking about coming back. He said there was nowhere else he wanted to be. Every time the fighting intensified or another casualty was announced, he insisted we had to hit back harder and that he needed to return to miluim.
He had a huge heart. The clearest way he showed it was through his love for עם ישראל and מדינת ישראל, and through his drive to support the lone soldiers who serve without family nearby.
The world lost one of the purest and most unique souls to walk this earth.
Funeral details to follow.
