Matnat Chaim - Altruistic Kidney Donation in Israel

Matnat Chaim - Altruistic Kidney Donation in Israel Matnat Chaim is an Israeli non-profit dedicated to finding kidney donors for Israeli kidney patients who need transplants. We're all about saving lives.

Founded in 2009 by Rabbi Yeshayahu Heber, Matnat Chaim is an Israeli non-profit dedicated to helping patients with end-stage renal failure by finding volunteer living kidney donors to donate their kidneys. All the kidney donors are volunteers who donate with no monetary compensation, purely for the sake of saving lives. Matnat Chaim's activities include:

Encouraging family members and friends of

kidney patients to save their loved ones by donating kidneys. Matnat Chaim meets with friends and family members to debunk myths about kidney donation and explain the safety and efficacy of live donation. Using publicity, advertising, transplant stories, education and social media to raise awareness of the importance of living kidney donation, and to encourage and recruit living donors. Mentoring of kidney donors and recipients through the long and sometimes arduous process of testing that precedes kidney donation, through the actual transplant surgery and afterwards. Through Matnat Chaim's efforts, over 200 successful kidney donations have been facilitated since 2009, and the number is increasing all the time. Our goal is to eliminate the waiting list for kidney transplants in Israel. With your help - we will succeed!
