Many people think that we are living in a post-Zionist age, in which the Jewish nation’s connection to the Land of Israel is no longer relevant. We believe that Zionism still exists as always: the establishment of a home for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel, based on an ancient and eternal link. A Zionist is someone who lives in the Land of Israel and from upon the land acts for the benefit
of the Jewish nation. He or she must be part of Israeli society, and help develop the State of Israel economically, culturally, socially, and morally. Until now, aliyah from the Western world has been comprised of individuals and families who have made immeasurable contributions to the State of Israel. However, when olim arrive on their own, often without family, the challenges of aliyah can be great. Adjusting to a new language, culture, and country can be difficult. At L**h L**ha El Ha’aretz, we believe that the time is now for the next wave of aliyah. Our goal is to bring whole communities to Israel so that its members can overcome the challenges of aliyah together, and experience the blessings of Eretz Yisrael as a group. The roots they planted in the Diaspora will be sown once more in the Land of Israel. We will assist our olim in five areas, both before and after their aliyah:
1. language – we will open Hebrew ulpanot in the communities before their aliyah;
2. culture and ideology – we will open cultural workshops and promote activities that will teach the communities about Israeli culture and values;
3. housing – we will help the communities establish new roots in Israel, with assistance from the local and national government;
4. quality of life and employment – we will provide employment assistance;
5. education – we will help parents and students find schools and universities that are suitable to their needs. In the words of Theodor Herzl, “If you will it, it is no dream.” L**h L**ha El Ha’aretz is here to make the dream of aliyah come true.
