JCC Global Taste of Home has officially come to an end with the publication of a beautiful global cookbook! ✨📖
Women from three communities came together through a series of joint Zoom sessions to share traditions, memories, and the flavors of Jewish cuisine from around the world. What began as conversations across continents became a meaningful cultural exchange - and ultimately, a shared cookbook published in three languages: English, Hebrew, and Ukrainian.

🌸 Across three countries and one shared screen, mothers came together to celebrate 🌸
This week, participants of the JCC Global IMA – International Mothers Alliance project of 🇺🇦 Mazal Tov JCC, 🇺🇸 JCC East Bay, and 🇦🇷 OHA Macabi, gathered for a special global Zoom session in honor of Mother’s Day and the upcoming holiday of Shavuot.

Together, we explored the story of Ruth and Naomi, and to make the celebration even sweeter, participants also joined a cheesecake cooking workshop 🍰✨

Even from thousands of miles away, moments like these remind us how strong and connected our global Jewish community truly is.

The teens of Odesa, Bridgewater, and Ramat HaSharon have wrapped up their 2026 global project! 🌍✨
Last week, we held our final session together with amazing partners:

🇮🇱 Migvanim Ramat HaSharon

Over the past few months, teens from all three communities met regularly online, getting to know one another and exploring what it means to be part of the Jewish people. Through photography and video, they shared personal stories and perspectives.

We closed the program with a conversation about hopes for the future — both their own and that of the Jewish people. 💫

JCC Global Taste of Tradition has reached its final session!

Over the past year, grandparents and grandchildren from four JCC communities came together for a shared journey across borders and generations. Through global Zoom sessions, families opened their kitchens and their hearts, sharing recipes and stories.

Each family created a video featuring their favorite dish, bringing to life flavors like cholent, kugel, pikeila, banitza, varenikes, chraime, and more, reminding us that while our kitchens may be far apart, our traditions are deeply connected.

Centro Deportivo Israelíta (CDI), Mexico City 🇲🇽
Kfar Yona Community Center, Israel 🇮🇱

“I had the chance to cook with my grandchildren for the first time in my life,” shared a participant from Kfar Yona.
“I feel proud to pass on our traditions—from generation to generation (מדור לדור),” shared a participant from Orange County.
“This project made me feel that we are truly one people, no matter where we live,” shared a participant from Kyiv.

This is a global project that brings firsthand accounts from Ukrainians living through war in Dnipro and from refugees rebuilding their lives in Krakow and Brooklyn.

Every year between Yom HaShoah and Yom Ha'atzmaut, we at the World Zionist Organization hold a festive event of reading Megillat Ha'atzmaut at the Egalitarian Kotel.
We broadcast it live in different languages to the whole Jewish world. This is our way to celebrate Israel’s independence and it strengthens our sense of Jewish peoplehood in Israel and abroad.

Tonight, we mark Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day - a moment to pause, remember, and honor the memory of the six million Jews who were murdered by the N***s and their collaborators.

As part of the JCC Global Voices to Remember project, teens from three JCCs interviewed Holocaust survivors in their communities. Through these conversations, they documented personal stories and turned them into a shared film.
