UN Women, with support from the Government of Norway, launched Reclaiming Power and Shaml II, two three-year programmes advancing Palestinian women’s leadership, protection, economic empowerment and meaningful participation across the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

أطلقت هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة، بدعم من حكومة النرويج، برنامجي «استعادة الحيز» و«شمل ٢»، وهما برنامجان يمتدان لثلاث سنوات لتعزيز قيادة النساء الفلسطينيات وحمايتهن وتمكينهن الاقتصادي ومشاركتهن الفاعلة في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة.

بدأت أسيل العبسي مسيرتها من العمل التطوعي، لتصبح أخصائية اجتماعية وقائدة مجتمعية، واضعةً العمل الميداني وخدمة المجتمع في صميم تجربتها.
بصفتها مديرة جمعية المحطة للتمكين والتنمية، تعمل أسيل في مجالات الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي، والاستجابة للطوارئ، وتمكين النساء والأطفال والشباب والأسر النازحة في جنين، مستندةً إلى خبرتها الميدانية ومعرفتها الأكاديمية في الإرشاد النفسي والتربوي.

Aseel Al-Absi began her journey as a volunteer and went on to become a social worker, community leader, placing community service and field engagement at the heart of her work.
As Director of Al-Mahatta Association for Empowerment and Development, Aseel works across psychosocial support, emergency response and the empowerment of women, children, young people and displaced families in Jenin, bringing together field experience and academic knowledge in psychological and educational counselling.
