The Summit Jerusalem

So many Israelis are carrying deep wounds from October 7th and the ongoing conflict—grief, trauma, PTSD, loss, fear, depression, and pain that cannot always be seen….
But Scripture tells us that God longs to bring comfort and healing Israel, and to pour out His Spirit upon us.

“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

“I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the LORD.” — Jeremiah 30:17

“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.” — Isaiah 40:1

And God says, “I will pour out my Spirit on all people.” — Joel 2:28

We’re now in the 10 days of awe: the 10 days between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur. For believers, this is a special time to meditate on Yeshua’s sacrifice for us, and on how the blood of the Lamb can empower us to step into the things we’ve just decided to commit to this Yom Teruah/Rosh Ha Shanah. Yom Kippur is a time to pause and remember that we’ve fallen short, we need forgiveness, we need to extend forgiveness, and we cannot walk in holiness without God’s grace and mercy. The blood of the Lamb that was spilled for us - should we accept it- can cover our sins, our short fallings, our mistakes, our lack of vision, and the list goes on. Thank You Yeshua for Your blood that allows us to walk in our destinies and into eternal life!

“How much more will the blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.” -Hebrews 9:14

“I have been crucified with Messiah. It is no longer I who live, but Messiah who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Did you know that the concept of metamorphosis is found in Scripture in the Greek in Romans 12 (“metamorphousthe”)? Yom Teruah is a special appointed time for us - called by God at the sound of the shofar - to commit to rise up in our new, next season of spiritual transformation and “metamorphosis”, and to grow more and more with time into the likeness of Yeshua. Eventually, a final shofar will sound… and until that day we will continue this process- growing as close to Him and as much like Him as possible… into very different creatures than we were to begin with. 🦋🕊️ Wishing you all a very blessed, meaningful, and sweet Yom Teruah & Rosh Ha Shanah 📯🍎
