Fat Torah Smashing the idolatry of anti-fat bias and leading ourselves from Narrowness to Freedom.

I’m supposed to be in Jerusalem, celebrating Purim with my family.

But this war means that I am instead stuck in New York. It is a deluxe form of stuckness, the heartbreak is all here, and I am awakened by every siren alert that sends my loved ones to the shelter. But it also features very gracious hosting by a dear friend and dinner with another dear friend.

AND, amazingly, the opportunity presented by the good people at to make Every Body Beloved more accessible by spending some time in their recording studio.

Here’s me reading the end of Chapter 4 (and drinking a lychee sangria).

Gilded stuckness! Making sweet and meaningful lemonade from these lemons.

“The Divine Image does not have problem areas.” 👏

If you’re heading into the holidays with a knot of anxiety about food, family, or fatphobic comments, consider this your shield and your radical affirmation: Your body, exactly as it is right now, is created in the Divine Image (b’tzelem Elohim) and is worthy of exquisite care.

I’m sharing an excerpt from my book, Every Body Beloved, in this week’s newsletter. It’s a deep dive into why your body size is never an error, but a perfect expression of the Divine. Let’s reclaim our intrinsic worthiness together.

Tap the link in my bio to read “The Divine Image does not have problem areas” and embrace the body you have today!

That time when that guy thought I was accusing him personally of idolatry…..

Why is it square? Have you wondered this about _Every Body Beloved_? Have you already guessed why?

In today’s newsletter, I’m sharing about the choice we made to bring an oddly-shaped book into the world.

On repetition, starting over, and my kid’s epic eye-rolling abilities. In newsletter this week.

I’m so looking forward to this conversation! (And just look at the excellent company my book is keeping.)
