Barnea Selevan is a Rav,Archeologist ,Licensed Tour Guide , member of Moreshet Derech as well as a good friend and colleague.
He lives with his wife Shoshana, in the Jewish Quarter.His wife Shoshana posted this to our tour guides list earlier today.

Today my husband and I went to the Ecole Biblique et Archeologique Franciase to meet with the nun who was viciously attacked last week on Mt. Zion. As a human being as well as the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I could not stand idly by as an innocent woman was beaten in broad daylight, totally unprovoked, all because of the religion she represents.
We spent over an hour together and it was enlightening for both of us. We discussed how God is meant to bring people together, and should not be used by any religion as a weapon. I told her about the Old City Forum of which I am a part where, for pretty much the first time in history, members of all 4 quarters sit together to discuss that which we have in common as neighbors. It is based on the belief that we can find that which connects us and have mutual respect for one another. We have met with the mayor and other city officials and are trying to make the Old City of Jerusalem a better place for all of its inhabitants and visitors.
We must find a way to fight and repel hatred from our society. It all starts from respecting one another's right to exist and believe as they choose. Amen!
