The Michael Levin Base

The Michael Levin Base The Base has a fully equipped and highly subsidized toiletry closet open to those in need.

Before Michael Levin, a lone soldier from Philadelphia, was killed fighting in the Lebanon War in 2006, he always spoke about his dream to provide support for lone soldiers. Now, every year, there are around 7,000 lone soldiers and lone b’not sheirut who leave their families, comfort of their own home, friends, and everything familiar to them to serve Israel. Bravely dedicating 1-3 years of their

lives for the State of Israel can be challenging at times, and many lone soldiers and lone b’not sheirut are in dire need of guidance, support and a sense of community and family. The Michael Levin Base, staffed with passionate professionals with vast experience working with lone soldiers and lone b’not sheirut provides, a network of advisors, a range of weekly events (from Health Care 101, self defense, karaoke night and Thanksgiving dinner), military base and ceremony visits, mental health guidance, pre and post-service informational lectures, and parent webinars. Lastly, but most importantly, The Michael Levin Base provides a sense of family and community to anyone who walks through the door.
