A central part of OOR Ministry’s vision is unity. It has been our privilege to be part of a service that brings together many different backgrounds and languages, united by one person alone: the Lord Jesus Christ.
In this picture are four people from very different backgrounds: brother Vahid Norouzi from Iran, brother Sheldon Bangera from India, brother Joshua Aaron an Israeli Jew, and me an Israeli Arab.
Four different backgrounds, cultures and languages, yet we work together and serve the same God, the God of truth and life.
There is nothing that can unite people from such different backgrounds in such deep and unconditional love unless we have the same Father - our Father in Heaven, who gave His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place and for us.
Because of His blood, we have become more than friends or people who simply work together; we have become true brothers.
Jesus prayed in John 17:
“That they may all be one.”
We want to live out this prayer and see it become a reality in the Body of Christ: Jews and Arabs, Iranians and Indians, and people from every background, united around Jesus Christ.
I believe this is the way to true peace, a peace that does not begin by trying to erase the differences between us, but through the unity we have in Christ.
