Did you know that the King David's Tomb, located on the historic Mount Zion in Jerusalem, is the only sacred site whose followers represent approximately 73% of the world's population, more than any other sacred place on earth, making it the most significant spiritual point of convergence regardless of ethnicity, social class, religion, nationality, or political affiliation?
It is the only monarchy that has achieved such a legacy throughout the centuries, awaiting its future renewal.
As a result of this important research, efforts began to seek recognition of the site as a UNESCO World Heritage designation before Israel withdrew as a member. The primary objective was to preserve and recognize the intangible legacy left by King David.
This proposal and conference have been presented since 2016 with the direct endorsement of the Chief Rabbi of Har Tzion, King David's Tomb, the Chamber of the Holocaust, and the Rosh Yeshiva in Jerusalem, Israel.

האם ידעתם כי קבר דוד המלך, השוכן בהר ציון ההיסטורי בירושלים, הוא המקום הקדוש היחיד שמאמיניו מהווים כ־73% מאוכלוסיית העולם – יותר מכל אתר קדוש אחר בעולם?
עובדה זו הופכת אותו לנקודת המפגש הרוחנית המשמעותית ביותר, המאחדת בני אדם ללא קשר למוצא אתני, מעמד חברתי, דת, לאום או השקפה פוליטית.
זוהי המלוכה היחידה שהצליחה להשאיר מורשת כזו לאורך הדורות, בציפייה להתחדשותה בעתיד.
בעקבות מחקר חשוב זה, החלו מאמצים לקדם הכרה באתר כמורשת עולמית של אונסק"ו, עוד לפני שישראל פרשה מחברותה בארגון.
מטרת היוזמה הייתה להדגיש את המורשת הבלתי־חומרית שהותיר אחריו דוד המלך.
הצעה זו והכנס הנלווה לה הוצגו מאז שנת 2016, בליווי ובתמיכה ישירה של הרב הראשי של הר ציון, הנהלת קבר דוד המלך, מרתף השואה, וראש הישיבה בירושלים, ישראל.
