As part of the Women for Dialogue training series, implemented by Holy Land Trust in partnership with ACT for Conflict Resolution, Jerusalem Center for Women, and Tomorrow’s Women, two powerful sessions on Compassionate Listening were delivered for the ACT group in Jerusalem, engaging 17 participants, led by trainer Lama Abu Arqoub from Tomorrow’s Women.
Grounded in the principles of deep listening and empathy, the training created a safe and supportive space for participants to share openly and connect authentically.
Through interactive exercises and guided reflection, participants practiced active listening techniques, learning to be fully present, listen without judgment, and respond with compassion.
The sessions placed strong emphasis on self-awareness and emotional presence, helping participants better understand both their own emotions and the experiences of others.
The training highlighted that compassionate listening is not only a communication skill, but a transformative approach that strengthens dialogue, builds trust, and empowers women to express their voices in inclusive and respectful spaces.
Participants also gained practical tools to navigate difficult conversations and build meaningful relationships within their communities
The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France.
