في مشهد يعكس قوة الإرادة والصمود، تتواصل تحضيرات عيد الأضحى في قطاع غزة رغم الظروف الصعبة، فيما تواصل النساء حضورهن الفاعل ودورهن الحيوي في المجتمع من خلال العمل والإنتاج.

من إعداد الشوكولاتة والحلويات إلى صناعة كعك ومعمول العيد، تحوّل النساء مهاراتهن إلى مصدر دخل يدعم أسرهن ويعزز سُبل العيش، في صورة تجسد الإصرار على التعافي والحفاظ على مظاهر الحياة.

بدعم من برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي، استفادت أكثر من 60 وحدة إنتاجية تقودها نساء من توفير أدوات ومعدات التصنيع وفرص العمل، في إطار الجهود الرامية إلى دعم الاقتصاد المحلي، وتمكين النساء، وتعزيز صمود المجتمع، ودفع جهود التعافي.

In a scene that reflects resilience and determination, preparations for Eid Al-Adha continue across the Gaza Strip despite the difficult conditions, as women continue to play an active and essential role in society through their work and productivity.

From making chocolates and sweets to baking traditional Eid Mammoul, women are turning their talents into sources of income that help support their families and sustain livelihoods, reflecting steadfastness and a commitment to preserving the rhythm of daily life.

With support from UNDP, more than 60 women-led production units have received manufacturing tools, equipment, and employment opportunities as part of ongoing efforts to support the local economy, empower women, strengthen community resilience, and contribute to recovery efforts.

استمعوا لقصة فداء زايد وكيف تمكّن برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي، بدعم من الحكومات الألمانية والسويدية والكورية، وبالتعاون مع وزارة الأشغال العامة والإسكان، من إنشاء حي سكني جديد في بيت لاهيا على مساحة 11 دونماً، يضم وحدات سكنية إغاثية توفر الخصوصية وتُتيح للأسر الانتقال من الخيام إلى مساكن أكثر ملاءمة وكرامة خلال هذه المرحلة، ضمن نهج الأمم المتحدة القائم على الأحياء المجتمعية والذي وفر ايضاً وحدات صحية، وخزانات مياه عالية السعة، وخيام متعددة الأغراض مخصصة للخدمات المجتمعية.

Listen to the story of Fidaa Zayed, and see how UNDP, with support from the Governments of Germany, Sweden, and the Republic of Korea, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, has established a new residential neighbourhood in Beit Lahiya on an area of 11 dunums.

The site includes relief housing units that provide privacy, enabling families to move from tents to more adequate and dignified shelter during this phase. As part of the UN neighbourhood approach, the initiative also provides essential sanitation units, high-capacity water tanks, and multipurpose tents designated for community services.

تُشكّل المخاطر المتصاعدة لانتشار الآفات في قطاع غزة تهديداً خطيراً للصحة العامة والبيئة، نتيجة تراكم النفايات، وتضرر أنظمة الصرف الصحي، والاكتظاظ الشديد، والانقطاع المطوّل لمستلزمات مكافحة الآفات.

بالتنسيق مع شركاء مجموعة المياه والصرف الصحي والنظافة، ومنظمة الصحة العالمية، ووكالات الأمم المتحدة، والشركاء المحليين، ينفّذ برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي خطة على مستوى قطاع غزة للحد من انتشار القوارض والحشرات وتحسين الأوضاع البيئية والصحية في المجتمعات المتضررة.

بدعم من الاتحاد الأوروبي عبر عمليات الحماية المدنية والمساعدات الإنسانية الأوروبية، وبتمويل من الحكومة البلجيكية، تُنفَّذ الأنشطة في أكثر من 1700 موقع في مختلف أنحاء قطاع غزة، وتشمل أعمال الرشّ الميداني، وإجراءات الحد من القوارض، وأنشطة التوعية المجتمعية، بمشاركة أكثر من 80 مثقفاً ميدانياً وكادراً تشغيلياً.

ولا يزال الوصول العاجل إلى مستلزمات مكافحة الآفات، ومواد الصحة البيئية، ومعدات التعافي المبكر، أمراً أساسياً للحد من تدهور الأوضاع الصحية والمعيشية في قطاع غزة.

Escalating pest infestation risks across Gaza are posing serious public health and environmental threats, driven by accumulated waste, damaged sanitation systems, overcrowding, and the prolonged absence of pest-control supplies.

In coordination with WASH Cluster partners, WHO, UN sister agencies, and local partners, UNDP/PAPP is implementing a Gaza-wide plan to reduce the spread of rodents and insects and improve environmental health conditions across affected communities.

Supported by the European Union through European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations and the Government of Belgium, activities are underway across more than 1,700 locations throughout Gaza, including targeted spraying, rodent reduction measures, and community awareness efforts led by more than 80 field educators and operational staff.

Urgent access to pest-control supplies, environmental health materials, and critical early recovery items remains essential to help prevent further deterioration of public health and living conditions across Gaza.

في إطار التدخلات الإغاثية لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي من خلال برنامج ترابط فلسطين، الممول من الحكومتين النمساوية والفنلندية، قدمنا بالشراكة مع وزارة الزراعة حزمة استجابة طارئة لدعم صمود 500 مزارع ومزارعة تضرروا نتيجة الاعتداءات المتكررة التي أعاقت استمرارية أعمالهم ووصولهم إلى أراضيهم في انحاء الضفة الغربية.

✨ وشملت هذه التدخلات:
✅ أشجار زيتون لدعم التوسع الزراعي وزيادة الإنتاج.
✅ خزانات مياه لدعم تخزين المياه وتعزيز القدرة على الري.
✅ أغطية بلاستيكية لحماية المحاصيل والمعدات الزراعية.

As part of the relief interventions under the TARABOT Palestine Programme, funded by Austria and Finland and implemented by UNDP/PAPP in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, an emergency response package was provided to support the resilience of 500 farmers affected by repeated attacks that have disrupted their business continuity and access to land across the West Bank.

✨The interventions included:

✅ Olive trees to support agricultural expansion and increase production.
✅ Water tanks to support water storage and enhance irrigation capacity.
✅ Plastic sheets to protect crops and agricultural equipment.

On World Creativity and Innovation Day 2026, UNDP reaffirms its commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering sustainable, technology-driven solutions to support resilience and development. We are pleased to announce a Call for Expression of Interest (EoI) to identify promising start-ups, entrepreneurs, and social innovation initiatives in Jerusalem.

This initiative is a key component of the Jerusalem Spatial and Socioeconomic Resilience Portfolio (JSSR).and focuses on the following areas:

✅ Smart and Sustainable Cities.

بفضل دعم شركائنا في الحكومة الألمانية عبر بنك التنمية الألماني (KfW)، وبالشراكة مع مؤسسة رواق وبلدية الجيب، احتفلنا اليوم بافتتاح مركز الجيب المجتمعي "حوش عساف" وملعب اتحاد الجيب، بعد استكمال أعمال الترميم ضمن برنامج الاستثمار من أجل تعزيز القدرة على الصمود (IPR III).

سيساهم المشروع في تعزيز الوصول إلى مساحات رياضية وترفيهية شاملة لأكثر من 19,000 شخص من المناطق المحيطة، إضافة إلى توفير مساحات مجتمعية آمنة وشاملة تخدم أكثر من 2,600 من النساء والشباب وأفراد المجتمع.

Thanks to the support of our partners in the German Government, through its Development Bank KfW, and in partnership with RIWAQ and Al Jib Municipality, we today celebrated the inauguration of the Al Jib Community Centre “Housh Assaf” and the Al Jib Football Field, following the completion of rehabilitation works under the Investment Programme for Resilience (IPR III).

The project will improve access to safe and inclusive sports and recreational spaces for more than 19,000 people from the surrounding communities, while providing inclusive community spaces serving over 2,600 women, youth, and community members.

رغم حجم الدمار الهائل في غزة، يواصل برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي التزامه بدعم جهود التعافي.

فإلى جانب الركام المنتشر في مختلف المناطق، تبرز تحديات بيئية جديدة مثل الحشرات والقوارض وتراكم النفايات الصلبة، ما يزيد من المخاطر الصحية التي تواجهها العائلات النازحة.

استمعوا إلى الممثل الخاص للمدير العام لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي/برنامج مساعدة الشعب الفلسطيني، جاكو سيليرز، وهو يقدم تحديثاً من الميدان حول جهود برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي في إزالة الركام والتعامل مع المخاطر البيئية، بالإضافة إلى توفير مأوى كريم للعائلات.


Despite the immense scale of destruction in Gaza, UNDP remains steadfast in supporting recovery efforts.

Alongside the widespread rubble across Gaza, new and critical environmental challenges are emerging, including the spread of pests and the accumulation of solid waste, which are further threatening the health of displaced families.

Hear from UNDP/PAPP’s Special Representative of the Administrator, Jaco Cilliers, as he provides a field update on UNDP’s efforts to remove rubble and address environmental hazards, as well as the provision of dignified shelter for families.
