في حي الزيتون بمدينة غزة، يعود المزارعون تدريجياً إلى أراضيهم، مستأنفين زراعة الخضروات رغم التحديات الكبيرة التي ما زالت تواجههم.
بدعم من ألمانيا والسويد وجمهورية كوريا، يوفّر برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي وحدات سكنية إغاثية لأسر المزارعين ضمن نهجه القائم على دعم الأحياء السكنية. ويساعد هذا التدخل العائلات على البقاء بالقرب من أراضيها ومصادر رزقها، مع توفير ظروف معيشية أكثر استقراراً والوصول إلى الخدمات الأساسية، بما يعزز صمود المجتمعات المحلية ويدعم جهود التعافي المبكر.
ومع بدء الأراضي الزراعية بالإنتاج من جديد، تعود منتجات طازجة مثل الذرة والباذنجان والطماطم والفلفل والأعشاب والملوخية إلى الأسواق المحلية، لتسهم في دعم دخل الأسر، وتعزيز توفر الغذاء، وتحريك عجلة الاقتصاد المحلي في غزة.
In Al-Zeitoun, Gaza City, farmers are returning to their land and growing fresh vegetables despite immense challenges.
With support from Germany, Sweden, and the Republic of Korea, UNDP is providing relief housing units as part of its neighbourhood approach, helping farming families move toward more stable living conditions while remaining close to their land and sources of income. By combining shelter support with access to essential services, the approach helps stabilize communities and create conditions for early recovery.
Today, families are bringing fresh corn, eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and molokhia to local markets, supporting household incomes, strengthening food availability, and contributing to Gaza’s local economy.
