Grassroots Al-Quds نؤمن أن الرؤية للمستقبل يجب أن يرسمها المجتمع الفلسطيني بنفسه. Our goal is to support Palestinian sumoud (steadfastness and resilience) in Al-Quds.

انطلق عمل الجذور الشعبية المقدسية من قلب مدينة القدس في عام 2011، إيماناً بمركزية المدينة وأهميّتها التاريخية والحالية النابع منها ضرورة وجود جسم جامع للأطر الفاعلة فيها. تتطلّع المؤسّسة إلى دعم الصمود الفلسطيني في المدينة من خلال السعي إلى توفير القاعدة المعرفية اللّازمة للمجتمع والمُساهِمة بتعزيز السردية المقدسية الفلسطينية كأداة مواجهة محلياً وعالمياً، كما نسعى إلى دعم المبادرات والحراكات المجت

معية والتشبيك بينها، في سبيل تحقيق المجتمع لرؤيته وصولاً إلى تحرّره. ونعمل وفقاً لقناعة تقتضي شرط الاستقلال الاقتصادي عن المنظومة الاستعمارية بغية الوصول للتحرّر. Grassroots Al-Quds was established in 2011 out of the belief in Jerusalem’s historical and current importance and the need for a platform for Palestinian networking in the city. We research and create knowledge that supports community mobilization. We build networks between the different Palestinian communities in Jerusalem, so that they can overcome their fragmentation by the Israeli occupation authorities, and make long-term plans and strategies for the city as a whole.

غالباً ما تقدَّم المدن رقمياً ضمن أنماط تقليدية لا تعكس عمق المكان وتفاصيله، أما مدينة القدس، بطبيعتها المعقّدة، تحتاج إلى طرق مختلفة في التفاعل والفهم رقمياً، تجربة أكثر ارتباطاً بالسياق والمعنى والقصّة.

حالياً في الجذور الشعبية المقدسيّة يتم العمل على تجربة رقمية مختلفة لاكتشاف القدس والتواصل معها بشكل مختلف.
كيف تتخيلون شكل هذه التجربة؟

Cities are often presented digitally in ways that fail to reflect the depth of a place and its details. Jerusalem, however, due to its complex nature, requires different approaches to digital engagement and understanding, an experience that is more connected to context, meaning, and story.

Currently, Grassroots AlQuds is working on a different kind of digital experience to explore and connect with Jerusalem in a new way. How do you imagine this experience could look?
