מנכ"ל הקרן פרופ' יורם קפולניק בראיון לערוץ 10. שנת 2025 היא שנה יבשה ואנו מתמודדים עם בצורת. התחזיות לשנת 2026 אינם אופטימיות. האתגרים הם גדולים אבל יש לנו ידע ויכולות להתמודד ולחקלאים יש מוטיבציה גבוהה. השקעה בחדשנות במחקר ופיתוח יהוו את המפתח להתמודדות מוצלחת. אנחנו צריכים להחיש את ההתקדמות המדעית ולהגביר את הקצב. השקעה בחקלאות מניבה מזון בריא והחיוני לתזונה בריאה. ללא תזונה בריאה נמצא את עצמנו משקיעים יותר במערכת בריאות המטפלת במחלות הקשורות לתזונה לקויה. אנחנו צריכים לאמץ ראיה מערכתית לבטחון המזון שלנו לאורך זמן. צריך לרתום את המדענים המצויינים שלנו למשימה. השותפות הישראלית- אמריקאית יכולה להיות מכפיל כח ולסייע בידנו.
