Tamar Center Negev

Tamar Center Negev Tamar Center Negev believes that the future of the Negev depends on the success of Bedouin children.

Tamar Center Negev encourages personal responsibility and initiative, cultivating a culture of excellence and creating opportunities. Tamar Center Negev is a grassroots organization bridging the socio-economic gaps between Bedouins and Jews in the Negev through education. TCN builds a culture of excellence, empowerment and access in the Bedouin community. Improved and equal access to the highest a

chievement in high school level STEM education (5 units of matriculation) will enable Bedouin youth to break the cycle of poverty. In addition to graduating high school with honors, TCN’s Bedouin youth and their families are equipped with the skills and role models needed to integrate into social and economic life in Israel. By driving leadership and personal accountability TCN empowers Bedouin young people to take responsibility for their future and for the welfare of shared society in the Negev. TCN builds bridges between the community and government institutions, creating partnerships that pair expertise and resources with local needs. Tamar Center Negev is not a substitute for state institutions, but rather a framework for improving the population’s access to state apparatuses.

Our students and alumni excelled in the activities that they prepared and facilitated in the schools of Abda, Wadi Al-Na’am, and Al-Fura’a within the "Good-Deeds-Day".

In cooperation with the Ruach Tova, our students volunteered in three unrecognized villages:
▪ Abda School in Abda Village
▪ Al-Azazma A School in Wadi Al-Ne'am
▪ Al Fura'a School in Al Fura'a

The activities in science and arts, agriculture, and domestic accidents were passed by our students professionally and creatively, we saw their results in the reactions of the participating young students and their interaction in the activities.

We thank the schools' staff who hosted and welcomed us, and the Ruach Tova for their support and cooperation.
And all thanks to the Tamar Center coordinators for organizing the day, preparing the students, and making it one of the most beautiful days at Tamar Center.
