רקע:
הבית הגאה בבאר שבע (בעבר: סניף האגודה בבאר שבע), פועל משנת 1999, ונותן מענה לקהילת ההומואים, הלסביות, הביסקסואלים והטרנסג'נדרים בבאר שבע ובסביבתה.
הבית הגאה בבאר שבע, שהוקם בראשיתו כסניף המקומי של אגודת הלהט"ב הוקם ומנוהל ע"י מתנדבים/
ות הקהילה. הסניף נותן אוזן קשבת, מענה אנושי, מקום מפגש חברתי, פינה חמה ועזרה.
התמודדות עם שונות מינית ומגדרית הינה מורכבת וכרוכה בקשיים רגשיים, משפחתיים וחברתיים רבים, בכל שלבי גיבוש הזהות המינית. פעילות הסניף מספקת כלים ייחודיים במתן מענה להתמודדויות אלו. בנוסף הסניף פועל בכדי להביא לחינוך לסובלנות בעיר ובסביבתה על מנת ליצור מקום שאפשר לחיות בו בחופשיות. במהלך השנים התגבשה בסניף קהילה פורחת ותוססת של הומואים, לסביות, ביסקסואלים וטרנסג'נדרים. כיום, קיימות בבית הגאה קבוצות רבות הפונות למגוון רחב של אנשים, במסגרתן נפגשים חברי הסניף לפעילויות משותפות, לטיולים, לערבי שבת ועוד.

The gay housr in Be'er Sheva has been working for 13 years and provides a response to community of Gay, Le***an, Bisexual and Transgender in Be'er Sheva and its environs. LGBT Society, or its official name "to protect the rights of the individual society", founded in 1975 and is a volunteer organization non-profit (nonprofit). The local gay house was founded by volunteers (with thehekp of the israeli LGBT foundation) and run by volunteers' community. The gay house provides a listening ear, human response, a social meeting place, a warm place and help. Dealing with different sexual and gender is complex and emotional difficulties, both social and family, at all stages of sexual identity formation. The gay house activity provides unique tools in responding to these contests. The gay house also works to bring education for tolerance in the city and its environs to create a place in which to live freely. Over the years the branch formed blooming and vibrant community of gay, le***an, bisexual and transgender. Today, there are many groups facing wide range of people, whereby the gay house members meet for joint activities, trips, and Saturday evenings
