🌿 Basil Galore at Midreshet B’erot Bat Ayin! 🌿
We had so much fun harvesting an abundance of fresh basil from our garden. After separating ma’aser, we carefully checked and washed each leaf before enjoying the fruits of our labor. The basil was so fresh and delicious, adding wonderful flavor to the salad we prepared together for lunch.
We also spent time making fragrant lavender oil, filling the day with the beautiful scents of the land. There is something deeply rewarding about working as a team—planting, harvesting, preparing, and sharing the abundance that Hashem provides. From the garden to the table, every step connects us more deeply to Torah, the Land, and one another. 💜🌿☀️

🌿Rosh Chodesh Tamuz-Midreshet B’erot Bat Ayin🌿
Rosh Chodesh Tamuz began with hands in the earth, tending and nurturing the land together. We then gathered for a beautiful and uplifting Hallel, welcoming the new month with gratitude and song.
The day continued with a moving concert featuring harp and dulcimer by Rachael Rosenbaum, accompanied by Shlomit Weinreb on guitar. Rebbetzin Chana Bracha Siegelbaum shared inspiring spiritual insights into the month of Tamuz.
We concluded with joyful movement and rhythm as Aviva Gottlieb led us in African drumming beats and spirited Geula dancing ✨

The students at Midreshet B’erot Bat Ayin enjoyed a rich and inspiring week filled with Torah learning, meaningful experiences, and community building.
Our Torah classes took place both in the classroom and in the beautiful gardens of Rebbetzin Chana Bracha. Surrounded by nature, we learned about the walnut trees, exploring their unique qualities and deeper Torah connections.
A special part of life at B’erot is caring for one another. The students take turns preparing delicious and nourishing lunches, creating opportunities to develop practical skills while sharing in the joy of giving.
The week also included a memorable trip to Jerusalem, where we gathered to enjoy a beautiful dance performance. ✨ Rosh Chodesh Tamuz Retreat – Looking Through G-d Colored Glasses ✨
Join us for a soul-refreshing day of Torah, music, movement, nature, and sisterhood as we welcome the new month of Tamuz together in the beautiful hills of Bat Ayin. 🌿☀️

Creative Expression: Apply the approach of the wives of On and Korach to a modern-day situation. Get together with a partner (the one sitting next to you). Construct together a situation where the wife either builds up her husband as On’s wife or puts him down as Korach’s wife. Play out both dialogues, expressing how On’s wife and Korach’s wife would have tackled the same situation. A man is motivated by the respect of his wife. On’s wife was interested in building him up. She expressed concern for her husband’s esteem when she asked, “What are you going to get out of being part of Korach’s rebellion?” On’s wife was able to persuade her husband by caring about his respect and demonstrating that he had nothing to gain by joining Korach.
How did Korach’s wife play a vital part in his rebellion against Moshe?
Korach’s wife, related to her husband in precisely the opposite way. Instead of building him up, she put him down and degraded him by making fun of the way he looked after having complied with Moshe’s command to shave all his body hair. It was thus Korach’s attempt to gain back the respect of his wife that incited him to rebel against the authority of Moshe. He wanted to save face and show his wife that he was enough of a man to stand up against Moshe and prevent being made a fool in her eyes.
