Many elderly Jewish residents of Tiberias came to Israel decades ago from the nations.

They helped build this country. Today a lot of them live alone, and after the hard years of war, some of them barely leave the house. Our volunteers visit them with groceries and stay to sing for them. You should see their faces when a group of Christians from around the world starts singing them song.

Israel's first prime minister, David Ben Gurion, was famously practical. He also said this: "In Israel, in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles."

Someone on your feed has probably called Israel an apartheid state this year.

Arab citizens make up about one in five Israelis. They vote in Israeli elections, and Arab parties run for the Knesset. An Arab judge sits on Israel's Supreme Court, and Arab doctors and nurses work side by side with Jewish colleagues in hospitals across the country. This is the real Israel!

Before the establishment of modern Israel, there was no independent sovereign Palestinian state. The land was governed by the British, and before them, the Ottoman Empire.

But long before either, Jewish kingdoms existed in this land. Jerusalem was the center of Jewish life, faith, and identity thousands of years before the modern conflict. Israel is not a foreign invention. It is the modern expression of the Jewish people's ancient connection to their ancestral homeland.
You cannot erase thousands of years of Jewish history. 🇮🇱

For Chaim Malespin, one of the greatest blessings of praying for Israel is getting to be part of the answer to those prayers. It's a heart he shares with everyone who comes to serve with The Faithful Galileans: what begins in prayer can become an act of love in someone's life.

He lives by it himself. You will find Chaim leading worship in the prayer room early in the day and later on the streets of Tiberias with volunteers, carrying food to families and checking on elderly neighbors who live alone. The people of Tiberias know him because he shows up for them.

Many of the families we serve are new immigrants and widows, and Chaim treats every one of them with honor. This week our team is hosting the Ambassador Academy, and Chaim will take every participant out into the same streets so they can see what standing with Israel looks like up close. Thank you for standing with him and with us.

On October 7, four young soldiers were inside Tank 3: Nimrod Cohen, Omer Neutra, Oz Daniel and Shaked Dahan.

Their tank was attacked near the Gaza border.
Omer, Oz and Shaked were killed. Nimrod was taken alive into Gaza and survived two years in Hamas captivity before returning home. He came home as the only surviving member of his tank crew.

Behind that “welcome home” are three friends who never did. Omer. Oz. Shaked.

Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists crossed into Israel and murdered about 1,200 people in their homes and at a music festival.

They dragged 251 people into Gaza as hostages. It happened on Simchat Torah, the day Jewish families dance with the Torah.

We will never forget, and we will keep standing with Israel.
