A presentation ... and an apology!
First of all I am sorry ... I posted this on the Youghal Celebrates History page by mistake. I manage a few pages. Sorry!
Last night we presented another cheque from the money we raised at our Christmas Tree of Remembrance. Joe Kirk told us about his group Cancer Connect. They really do a magnificent job.
They help two distinct groups getting treatment. Those getting chemotherapy and those getting radiation.The first type pf person gets picked up at home, is brought to hospital and brought home. The second group are picked up by minibus in Youghal, Killeagh, Midelton. The hospital coordinates times with the bus. The service is entirely free! In the photo you see Joe Kirk, John Phelan and Jimmy Coleman receiving a cheque from Rotarians Alison and Brid.

We presented a cheque to Youghal Meals on Whees, one of the three designated charities at our Christmas Tree. Audrey Skehen was pleased to accept the cheque.
