YARA's coffee morning at The Old Imperial Hotel can only be described as a din of chat and tinkling cups.
Sandra McLellan, CEO Youghal
Chamber of Tourism & Development made a vibrant and comprehensive presentation outling the broad range of responsibilities carried as Manager of the Tourist Office, Chamber, Gift Shop, Heritage Centre and the supports offered by the Chamber.
The Chamber is the representative voice of business in Youghal and currently has 80 members. It supports everything from enterprise training programs to lobbing on behalf of members at local, county, regional, and national level to creating networking opportunities to support local business growth.
The Tourist Office provides local itineraries, operates guided historical walking tours, runs the local heritage exhibits, and retails authentic Irish crafts and souvenirs - and answers a million questions on bus timetables, the river cruise schedule, local accommodation recommendations, restaurants, and more! As Sandra commented, "no two days are the same. "
Thank you to Paul McElduff, The Old Imperial Hotel for the warm welcome and to Marie for keeping the tea and coffee flowing.
Today's event was organised by Alice Homewood, Event Lead, Social Committee.
